Spotted: NEW Walgreens Studio 35 Beauty Clinique Skincare Dupes

First, Walmart released THESE Clinique skincare dupes (click HERE for my review/comparison of the facial cleanser). Then, Rite Aid released THESE. Now? Walgreens! (Will CVS be far behind?)

Many thanks to reader Helen for this sighting. Helen spotted this new Walgreens Studio 35 Beauty skincare set last week and kindly shared pics and info with us:

NEW Walgreens Studio 35 Beauty Clinique Skincare Dupes
(retail: $19.99 for the set)

Keep reading for more info and a closer look...

Unlike the Walmart and Rite Aid Clinique dupes, which you can purchase individually, the Walgreens version comes in a set ($19.99). I don't know if these will eventually be available for purchase individually, but here's a closer look at the set:

Left: Walgreens Studio 35 Beauty Gentle Cleanser (6.7 oz) compare to Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild.

Right: Walgreens Studio 35 Beauty Clarifying Toner (7.6 oz) - compare to Clinique Clarifying Lotion.

Walgreens Studio 35 Beauty Daily Moisturizing Lotion (4 oz) compare to Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.

This is set is now listed on the Walgreens website, but it is not yet available for purchase online (in-store only). From the Walgreens site:

  • Fragrance free
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Hypoallergenic & paraben free
  • Made in USA
  • Gentle Cleanser: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Lauramidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoyl Sarcosinate, TEA-Cocoyl GLutamate, PEG-120 Methyl GLucose Dioleate, Butylene Glycol, Di-PPG-2 Myreth-10 Adipate, Polyquaternium-7, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hexylene Glycol, Laureth-2, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Disodium EDTA, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Sucrose, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cetyl Triethylmonium Dimethicone PEG-8 Succinate, Propylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Sulfate, Sodium Benzoate, EDTA.
  • Clarifying Toner: Water, Alcohol Denat.  Glycerin, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Menthol, Acetyl Glucosamine, Trehalose, Sodium Hyaluronate, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Bicarbonate, Red 6, Red 33, Ext. Violet 2.
  • Daily Moisturizing Lotion:  Water, Mineral Oil, Glycerin, Petrolatum, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Urea, Lanolin Alcohol, Triethanolamine, Hordeum Vulgare Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Cake, Propylene Glycol Dicaprate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Butylene Glycol, Trisodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Yellow 6, Yellow 5, Red 33.

What I like about this set is that you get three full-size products for $19.99. Compared to the pricing of the similarly-sized Clinique dupes from Walmart and Rite Aid, this set is a better value (if you look at the prices of the Walmart dupes and Rite Aid dupes, you'll see what I mean). However, if you only wanted one (or two) of these products, it's an inconvenience to have to buy the set, along with products you're not interested in owning.

Naturally, I cannot comment on the possible similarities of these dupes yet, because I have not tried them. However, I can tell you that my experience with the Walmart facial cleanser dupe was very positive (you can see my in-depth review and comparison of the dupe to the real thing HERE). So this definitely makes me want to try these other versions now available.

Have you spotted these new Walgreens products in your area yet? Thoughts?

Thanks so much, Helen, for the great sighting and pics!

  1. Great packaging but too many unpronounceable ingredients.

    1. Not good to see alcohol placed so high on the list for the toner, sls in the cleanser, and a lot of mineral oil and petroleum in the moisture lotion. Meh, pass...but still always a pleasure to see more affordable dupes.

    2. Actually according to Paula's Choice's Beautypedia Clinique's ingredients for their moisturizer are exactly the same as this dupe's moisturizer and they have alcohol in the same spot for their toner. While they don't use SLS in their cleanser they're still using petroleum and mineral oil in their moisturizer.

    3. Thanks for that, AshleeHock. I was going to mention that the ingredients in these dupes don't vary much from the originals, so if you don't like these ingredients, you probably wouldn't like the real thing either. :)

  2. Also, keep in mind that these are a lot smaller than the Clinique products. And you're right, G, that they should sell these products individually since you usually end up running out of one of the products before the others, thus forcing you to buy all three at once. And another thing, are they going to offer different products for different skin types like Clinique does?

  4. I picked up a Studio 35 Beauty Cocoa Butter Lotion for hands the other day. It says to compare to Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Radiant Lotion. It was 99cents at the cosmetic counter. Think it was a clearance. They had this flavor and just regular I think. I was looking for a hand lotion and love Carmex Hydrating and they have a repair I think. There two anyway and very good. Dry fast not sticky. Absorbs quickly I guess I should say. I first used it for dry elbows and cleared it up very quickly. I have bought both kinds they sell. And the one is a little thicker than the other. But both very good. Back to this lotion is not bad either. Doesn't take a lot. I have dry hands from washing them a lot. Low immune system from chemo. I like it and would repurchase it. It's says it has multi layer hydration for a healthy radiance directions say to apply to body daily. Comes in a tube like other hand lotions. I really like it. Not the same as face but the same brand. Don't know if that helps anyone or not.

  5. I really wanted to try the moisturizer from Clinique but seeing these dupes makes me think of trying those instead... I need a review of the moisturizers!

  7. I used Clinique years ago and loved it. If ingredients are the same in dupe I would buy now if I was low or out of moisturizer. It is almost a 10 year running Allure Readers Choice Award Winner and Paula's Choice rates Clinique moisturizer highly.
