  1. I picked up a few of the Jordana Modern Matte lipsticks and am enjoying them. I also bought a few of the new Almay Butter Kiss lipsticks and also am enjoying them. I need them like a hole in the head, but I love 'em.

  2. I haven't tried any of the new 2015 products, but I have recently picked up the NYX Radiant Finishing Powder and I love it! I'm looking forward to trying the new Maybelline lipsticks.

  3. I nabbed one of the new L'Oréal brow gels the other day and am loving it so far. As of today that's it though.

  4. I got one of the L'oreal brow gels, too-- it's good, but I actually prefer Maybelline's. I think I'm in the minority there.

I also got two of the Rimmel Provocalips, the long-lasting, two-step ones, and I'm really liking them. They're definitely the least drying of the long-lasting lip products I've tried, and the 2nd step balm is interesting-- it's like a silicone primer. I think it might actually *be* a silicone primer.

  5. Ive tried one of the jordana modern mattes and they are pretty nice nothing serious just good for the price($3). I have a few of the wet n wild Fergie velvets and they look and feel nice yet they do have some issues. The stick sometimes has to be layered to show really pigmented and the color of the packaging is soo off from the actual colors. This one color I got looked to be a darker nude but ended up being a bright orangey red. So be aware. I also bought a rimmel matte velvet but returned it because I got the pale nude color and it is literally like putting a concealer on your lips. No pink or orange undertones. The formula seems great and ill probably try a different color soon but for that color I wouldn’t touch it. Best for last!... I got 2 milani matte lipsticks in the nuder shades because i looove nudes (matte naked and matte innocence) matte innocence is little pale but looks amazing w/ my jordana rock n rose lipliner. THESE LIPSTICKS ARE AMAZING! They remind me a lot of the Maybelline mattes. The packaging honestly makes me want to look at it forever. Ive never owned a milani lipstick but im definitely going to pick up the purple matte shade(matte glam). They are extremely smoove and beautiful. For EVERY skin color/tone go and get matte naked in the milani line! It would go w/ everything. It’s so beautiful. Some people describe it as a kylie lip but im tired of those and it doesn’t have as much red as she has in hers. It’s pretty brown wearable nude. Somewhat of a darker adu dhabi(nyx matte lip cream). But overall the Milani mattes take the cake. Sooo amazing and long lasting! As you can tell I love matte lipsticks! That’s all ive tried so hope this long review helped.

    1. Did you find the Jordana to be really dry, Ashleyy? I bought four, because I love mattes and a bargain, and three were really nice but a fourth was kind of dry and tugged at my lips. I don't know if it was a fluke or it's a really dry one for the color.

    2. yess! thats why i said they were nice for the price. Nothing fantastic. They definetly weredry and tugged my lips alot. especially at the first application. but its oretty pigmented. Not my fav mattes but wearable w/ a chapstick

    3. Heidi- I got the Jordana in Classy, and I found it to be dry, waxy, and hard to apply.

    4. Thanks for the reviews on the new matte lipsticks. I never thought I'd like a matte, but finally tried the Maybelline in Touch of Spice during Christmas and loved it!! So...based on your review, I'll pick up a Milani...or three! :)

  6. I just picked up the matte finish apocalips from rimmle and loving it!! Not drying at all and has a texture like Maybelline matte lipsticks. I picked up the color medioric matte and it is an everyday shade for me love it!

    1. At first glance I thought the shade was mediocre matte, what a bad choice for a lippie that would be lol.

  8. i got a couple of the rimmel provocalips and the new matte show off the other day. they're really nice. not sure how i feel abt the matte show off lip colors not really setting but they go on really nice! the provacalips are really comfortable. i actually returned the dark purple shade bc it turned out to be a light plum shimmery almost 90s color.
I also got a couple of the jordana modern mattes, i haven't worn them out but the shades are really beautiful, even the purple! it's kinda similar to the w&w sugar plum fairy color.

i really want to try the new maybelline fit me powder and i've been trying to find the new milani blushes with no luck :(

  9. The only things I've tried so far are a couple of the Maybelline Rebel Bloom lipsticks, and they're a hit so far! I have the coral and the lilac and I love them both.

  10. I got some of the new Almay lip butters as well, and my dry lips really like them. Also picked up the Physicians Formula Argan Wear blush and their Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm for Cheek & Lip. The argan blush is nicely pigmented, and so (to my surprise) is the Super BB balm (a sphere resembling an eos balm); it doesn't LOOK like it would be, but it gave my cheeks a pretty flush that lasted several hours. (Didn't do much for my lips, though.)

    1. For some reason my city didnt get the WnW Fergie 10 pan shadows but I talked a few of the women who work the cosmetics and they said all the new products will be up on the wall by February :D

  12. I got the Maybelline Rebel Bloom lipsticks in Rose Rush and Coral Burst. I love them! I can't wait to wear them in the spring! The bright lipsticks flatters and contrasts my NC 40 skin tone. I also got the Cover Girl Full Lash Bloom Mascara. I like how it lengthens and volumes without being clumpy.

  13. OK. So I bought the Physician Formula Glitter eyeliner trio is Smokey. I also got the Glitter Strips eye shadow. I took advantage of the BOGO Free this weekend. I love love them both. I have been wearing e/s alot more lately. I bought the Jordana Cat Eyes liner in Black Leather and I love it also. Nice and black and I like the brush. I bought one Jordana Matte lipstick in Matte Bare. Not crazy about it, I thought it too dry, but I am a gloss girl so alot if lipsticks seem dry in comparison. Also it turned my lips brick red. Not a good color for me.

    1. Same here w the e/s...I have so much but only bust it out in the colder weather...there is no point (for me) even trying in the summer as it just creases and slides right off no matter what prepping and priming I do. I live in fleshtone shimmers, satins, mattes etc.when it's too hot. To answer the Q. ...like others have said above, I haven't spotted any new displays with products I want anywhere yet. Waiting on the Milani blushes. I do wsant to try the new Burt's Bees's apple acid or w/e it is face wash from the new facial line, I did see that around just didn't have the $. Btw those displays have $3.50 off coupons on them.

  14. I just tried the fit me matte powder this week! So far I just love it!!! My only warning is that the translucent shade seems to be really light in color... that's exactly why I bought it Instead of the 110 porcelain shade. I have trouble finding light enough powders for me at the drugstore, so this is a great find for me!!! It is also really finely milled and doesn't show a lot of texture on the skin. Way more matte than the regular fit me powder, and seems to be more coverage too! Yayy!!! :D. Next time I will try the liquid fit me matte and the infallible matte powders because my fave cvs has all of them stocked now! I bought the dream wonder powder yesterday but haven't tried it yet, but I think that would count as a 2014 product ;)

  15. Oh and also, that same cvs I love has way up high a display of the milani rose blushes! It seemed like they had so much new stuff all of a sudden that they ran out of room ! It was fun to see, because usually that cvs doesn't put out new displays very much :) I am in California bay area, if that helps anyone!

    1. Where in Bay Area? My cvs in concord on treat blvd had so many new displays I was overwhelmed and excited!

    2. Lol i live close by to there too!!! :) the one I go to is the one on Clayton Rd and Treat Blvd. Sometimes the 24 hr one further on treat Blvd has new stuff too so I will randomly check late at night after work lol! I haven't been there for a while though. The cvs near Bart Concord is horrible with getting new stuff in... I just stopped even checking there! Maybe I will see you at cvs!!! The people at my cvs are so sweet too :) my husband still can't believe they know me every time he comes along, Lol!!

  16. I have several items, though I've been trying to limit my buying :/ I love the texture of the Maybelline master primer, and it seems to help foundation go on smoothly, but I'm not sure if it does much since I haven't really tested it. I also got a Maybelline master concealer, but it was very orangy on me and I returned it. I got the PF lash fibers + mascara combo, but I haven't used it enough to form a judgment. Same w/ the Milani foil shadows - they seem nice, but I've heard they crease so haven't wanted to test them out on a workday. The new Rimmel lip products are both nice - provacalips & show offs matte. And I really want to try some of the new WnW items, but haven't seen them yet!

  19. I haven't seen a single new display so far this year. Many of the holiday displays never showed up in my area either :(

    1. I never found a lot of holiday items at the several cvs near me but I've seen most new stuff pop up at all of them in the past week. Some have more than others but still tons of new stuff were out the past few days.

  20. I tried the new Fergie blushes and love them! The lip crayons are pretty good but I wish they were more pigmented. I also tried the Maybelline fit me dewy and love it too. The master conceal is amazing. And so is the blurred and smooth primer

  21. So far, I've tried (I love trying new stuff, so I'm like a kid in a candy store right now):

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Gloss - awesome. Another blog described it as a primer + liquid lipstick, and I think that's a good way to describe it. Rouge Envy is beautiful.

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation - Have only worn this once, but it seems pretty good. I think the color I got is too light, though. The texture seemed more liquid than you'd think. Maybe you're supposed to squeeze the tube a little to mix it up first?

Garnier Acne BB Cream - pretty good, has a strong fragrance, though.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - deposits a lot of product on your lashes, which I personally don't like, so I returned it. I couldn't quite get the hang of the wand, either.

  22. Oh jeez what haven't I picked up?!

I'm really liking the maybelline rebel bloom lipsticks, jordana matte lipsticks, milani matte lipsticks. The physicians formula eye shadows. The milani fierce foil quads are okay.
