Spotted: NEW Real Techniques Sculpting Brush and Concealer Brush

There's been a lot of exciting news on the Real Techniques front over the past few days, including the arrival of the new Bold Metals Collection (if you click that link, I just updated my post with more info since that collection is now up on the Ulta site) and new sightings of Real Techniques brushes at Walgreens stores. But I've got even more exciting news for my fellow RT fans today!

Many thanks to reader @salsatapatia0126 on Instagram for this one. @salsatapatia0126 spotted two new brushes in the regular Real Techniques line at Ulta the other day and kindly shared these pics:

NEW Real Techniques Concealer Brush at Ulta

I'm super excited to try this new concealer brush, since I already use this Real Techniques brush for applying my concealer (by the way, that's also a great brush for applying Maybelline Color Tattoos and other cream shadows). I can't wait to see if this new one will be even better for concealer.

Keep reading for a look at the new Sculpting Brush...

NEW Real Techniques Sculpting Brush at Ulta

Sculpting brushes are flatter than traditional face brushes and can be used for foundation, contouring, etc. These brushes are sort of a new-ish thing in the world of makeup brushes (new-ish as in, I can't remember seeing much about them when I first started blogging back in 2009, but now they seem to be everywhere).

Some of the most talked-about sculpting brushes of recent memory are the IT Brushes for Ulta Velvet Luxe Soft Focus Sculpting Brush ($35), the Estee Lauder Sculpting Brush ($45) and the NARS Ita ($55). So it's fantastic to see a sculpting brush at the drugstore level, since there are currently only a few out there (like this one from EcoTools). Sonia Kashuk used to make a sculpting brush a few years ago and it was very similar to the MAC 163 (click here for a comparison). Since then, Sonia Kashuk has released another sculpting brush in this set from Summer 2014, but I'm not aware of one in their permanent line. And I don't think e.l.f. has one either (yet).

Whew! Talk about a tangent. Anyway, I believe that @salsatapatia0126 said that this new Real Techniques Sculpting Brush was either $8.99 or $9.99, so that could be a great value if it's a good one (and judging by my experiences with all of the other RT brushes I own, I'm willing to bet it will be nice). I can't wait to find it in person and give it a try--and of course review it for you.

Speaking of finding it in person, I've heard from some of you on Instagram who have recently found these two new Real Techniques brushes at your local Kohl's and Walmart stores, so those are other options if you don't live near an Ulta (as of the time of this post, neither brush is on the Ulta site, but I would  imagine they'll be listed there soon).

Thoughts about these new two new additions to the Real Techniques line?

Thanks again, @salsatapatia0126, for the great sighting and pics!
