The Lipstick League - week of 11.17.14

The Lipstick League Question of the Week

Do your beauty spending habits change during the holidays? Do you tend to purchase more (or less) beauty-related items for yourself at this time of year?

G's answer: I would love to say that I spend less on beauty products this time of year (since I really should be thinking about presents for others) but sadly, this is NOT the case. Too many great sales, limited edition collections and hot deals. Given the focus of my blog and how many deals I post about on a daily basis, it makes sense that sometimes I break. There are just too many temptations this time of year!

  1. I buy way more for myself during the xmas season because of all the great sets and sometimes they are LE so that just makes me want it more. Plus, the prices are so great so it only makes sense to get something you really want and probably would have bought anyway during these xmas sales. (At least that is how I justify buying all this makeup right now!)

  2. I spend a lot more this time of year just due to all the.sale items and new palettes and new kits.

  3. Alas, count me in as "should spend less on myself but end up spending more." I go out with good intentions to only buy beauty products for friends and relatives but see so many great sales, bundles, palettes, etc. I rationalize it at places like Bath & Body Works where you get deals like "buy two get two free." Sigh.

  4. Haha right up there with you ladies. I buy up as many gift sets as i can this time of year, for myself! Hell yes! LOL. But, I will certainly buy two of the same, if I know someone else who would love it as a gift!

  5. Oh but in my defense, I don't spend that on myself at all for the rest of the year. Especially for department store goodies! So it's my presents to myself for the year!
