Kohl's Beauty Trade-In Event 9:00AM Tomorrow (11/8) at Participating Stores

I want to thank several readers here and on social media for alerting me to the fact that select Kohl's stores are having another Beauty Trade-In Event tomorrow (Saturday, 11/8) at 9AM. I first heard from you about this on Nov. 2nd, and since that time I've been trying to get more info (like I posted about for last year's event) as to which stores will be participating. Unfortunately, my contact did not have information for this year's event, so here's what I DO know (thanks to you!).

Keep reading for more details..

Reader NY2TXgirl25 kindly shared this info that she found in her local newspaper:

"Beauty Trade-In Event Sat, Nov. 8th. Trade in two of your old beauty products and we'll give you a $10 Kohl's beauty gift card. One per customer, must be 18 or older, while supplies last."

  • According to NY2TXgirl25, there were no exclusions listed in the ad as to which beauty products you can purchase with this $10 gift card (there weren't any exclusions for last year's event either), and in fact she said that there were photos in the ad of products that you could put the $10 gift card toward (the new Vera Wang perfume, LORAC, Cargo, Pur Minerals, H2O skincare, etc.). So in other words, this $10 gift card does not exclude prestige beauty or fragrance.

  • Reader Rachel kindly shared THIS PHOTO of the front of the ad, in case you want to see what it looks like.

  • What types of beauty products can you trade in to get this $10 gift card? If this is like last year's event, the items must be makeup (no nail polish, skincare, haircare or bath/body care) and they must be full-size (no minis, travel sizes or gifts-with-purchase). But your makeup items can be from ANY brand (high end, drugstore, it doesn't matter).

  • Which stores are holding this event? I have no idea. I can tell you which stores held the event last year (click HERE), but I would strongly suggest that you call your local Kohl's and speak to someone in the beauty department to find out if YOUR store will be holding this event tomorrow.

ONE MORE THING:

Reader Yasmine (@beyoutyjunkie on Instagram) kindly shared these pics of the ad that she received, and it's a bit different than the ones mentioned above:

Notice that Yasmine's ad doesn't mention anything about a beauty TRADE-IN. This ad just says, "Visit our NEW beauty department and we'll give you a $10 Kohl's Beauty Gift Card!" So I'm assuming that some Kohl's stores with newly-remodeled beauty departments will be giving out $10 gift cards just for visiting, no trade-ins required.

Again, I urge you to call your local Kohl's store(s) to see if any of them are participating in these events tomorrow. I'm sorry that I have no idea which stores will--or won't--be participating this time around.

Thanks again, NY2TXgirl25, Rachel and Yasmine, for all of the very helpful information about this event!

  1. Does anyone know if "used" can include completely empty bottles of something?

    1. Yes. I believe that last year, readers confirmed that it didn't matter how much, or how little, was used from the products.
