(UPDATED) Spotted: Sally Hansen Limited Edition Summer 2014 Color Frenzy Glitter Polish Collection

Just in! Close-up bottles shots and swatches of some of the shades in this collection. Scroll down to see!

Well what do we have here? ANOTHER line of polishes in the Limited Edition I Heart Nail Art Liquid Mani-a Collection! This is in addition to the Color Foils (aka Chromes), Salon Effects Strips and Matte Insta-Dris that I just showed you earlier today. So for anyone keeping score, that's FOUR collections so far (and I'm guessing there are probably more on the way).

Many thanks to reader Hannah for this sighting. Hannah Spotted the new Color Frenzy Textured Nail Colors at an indie drugstore in the Midwest and she was nice enough to share some pics with us. Take a look:

Sally Hansen Limited Edition Summer 2014
Color Frenzy Textured Nail Color Collection

There are eight Color Frenzy polishes in this display and two Xtreme Wear shades (I don't know if the Xtreme Wears are limited edtionl, but I'm guessing they are?). The Color Frenzy Textured Nail Colors appear to contain a mixture of different glitters in clear bases (or lightly-tinted bases) but it looks like these are more like glitter toppers vs. true textured polishes (but I could be wrong!). Hannah shared some close-up pics of a few of these shades--keep reading  to see them!

Spark & Pepper

As you can see, this shade appears to contain black and silver glitters and holo shards in a clear base. I enlarged Hannah's photo above so you can see more detail:

Sea Salt

And finally, Hannah shared these pics of the shade Sea Salt, which looks like a mix of navy, gold and holo glitters, and maybe a few other things!

JUST IN: Many thanks to reader @constantlypolished on Instagram for sharing some lovely bottle shots and swatches with us! Check it out:

@constantlypolished swatched Splattered over Orly Dare to Bare in the photo above. As you can see, these are glitter toppers with clear bases (despite what it says on the bottles about these being "textured nail colors"--they are definitely not traditional textured polishes!). Splattered has a LOT going on--metallic gold shards, matte pink and black hex glitters, and even tiny red bar glitters! I absolutely love the combo @constantlypolished used above.

Sea Salt contains holographic shards and what looks to be blue and gold matte hex glitters. Again, this is a glitter topper--the base is clear.

Paint Party

Paint Party contains matte orange, blue and lime green hex and bar glitters in a clear base.

I can't wait to spot this collection in person--I'm loving the look of some of these and I can't wait to see the rest! Have you spotted this collection in your area yet? Thoughts?

Thanks again, @constantlypolished and Hannah, for the great sighting and pics!

  1. very interesting! I think you're right about them being toppers, especially with the inclusion of two random cremes (for undies?) in the display. maybe they're trying to use the textured thing as a marketing buzzword. at any rate, if these show up in dallas, i'll probably buy them all. sigh. bye, money.

    1. Agreed! I think the Xtreme Wears are definitely a tipoff that these are toppers! :)

  2. Does anyone know when the summer collections are supposed to be released? Other than the chromes, I haven't seen a single new thing from Sally this year

    1. I was wondering that myself. I regularly troll several area drugstores and haven't seen much that's new from SH. I don't think I've spotted any of these collections, and I would sure love to get my hands on some of them.

    2. I have a feeling that the Color Destinations and Liquid Mani-a collections are going to get much wider distribution in the coming weeks. They tend to hit the Midwest early, but I wouldn't be surprised if they start popping up everywhere all at once in maybe May or June. :)

  3. Very interesting color combos.

  4. I saw these at target and was disappointed. The clear base it super thing and the glitter was sparse on the brush.

  5. I saw these at a Walgreens in Chicagoland. One of the Extreme Wear slots was filled with 405 Coral Reef though the display label showed it should be shade 066. The other was 340 Mint Sorbet which I think is core.

  6. So did we ascertain whether these were like the sugar ones that are textured or are these just toppers? I've been trolling for new collections too and I haven't seen Anthony in a long time, and it depresses me.

  7. Candy Drops looks veryyyyy similar to the new Milani Gold Label glitter Sugar Burst. I wonder how they compare, and can't wait to see swatches of the whole collection.

    1. I thought the same thing and I should have looked since the Milani was right behind me but I was so excited about the one I bought I didn't even snap any pics. They are for sure just glitter polishes and not textured although the one I got dried down bumpy... don't know if that's what they meant. I got Red White & Hue for Memorial Day this weekend and I emailed G the pics in case you want to add them.

  8. I'm late to the punch on these polishes but I only paid $1.49 each at kmart today. They are toppers 100%. I bought 7 and they didn't have red, white & hue
