NEW Epielle Aqua Tinted BB Cream SPF20 ($2.80 at Big Lots)

If you're new to this blog, you may not be aware of my longtime love for Epielle makeup towelettes. You can find Epielle towelettes at Big Lots and various other discount stores in packets of 30 for $1 and packets of 60 for $1.99 and they come in a variety of different formulas (I love them all!). For me, they're the best and most economical makeup towelettes I've ever used and they're actually a holy grail product for me.

Over the years, Epielle has branched out into other products (face masks, pore strips, etc.) that you can also find at Big Lots and other retailers. But did you know that they now have a BB Cream that is sold at Big Lots? I sure didn't! Many thanks to reader Shannon for this one:

...just HAD to let you know about the incredible bb cream I found at Big Lots! I tried it because it is the same brand as my makeup remover wipes & saw Made in Korea on the box!!!! It has medium coverage, feels lightweight, and has a matte finish. The very next day I drove 30 miles to get back ups!! It is only $2.80!!!!! Mine expires 9/16--it comes in 2 shades: Light Beige and Natural Beige. I use Natural Beige and am NC35. Seriously, you have to try this. It may be my HG for this summer!

Shannon shared lots of pics with us:

Just like their towelettes, this BB cream is made in Korea

I know that two shades very much limits who can try this new BB cream and I wish I had better news for you about shade options. But if one of these shades DOES work for you, what a deal at just $2.80 for 1.33 oz., right? Shannon mentioned that Natural Beige was a good fit for her NC35 skintone. I'm guessing that Light Beige will probably work for NC20/25 but that's just a guess. I will purchase both the moment I see these and I'll post a review after I give them a good testing. I'm a MAC NC20 so I'm hoping Light Beige will work for me (fingers crossed).

Thanks so much, Shannon, for the great pics and info. Much appreciated!

  1. I found mine at a store in southeastern Indiana-they had one box with six of each shade on an upper shelf. This was the first time I saw it, but it is great!

  3. I haven't seen this at Big Lots, but I did see them at Grocery Outlet (2 locations). I am now kicking myself for not picking it up!! Might have a trip in my future tonight!

  4. SO exciting!!! I have high hopes. 1.3 oz is a generous amount, too.

  5. Ah I got so excited about this, but sounds like this probably won't work for my NW13 skin tone then lol... let us know what you think (((:

  6. I appreciate Shannon mentioning which one matched her skin tone. I'm going to have to check Big Lots out.

  7. Have this one in light beige. I'm about an nc30 and acidic so this one oxidizes on me to a fairly good match. Can't wait for the Review!!!!

  8. Man, I hope I can find these. The price is insanely good, plus SPF 20, Korea-made, and matte, medium coverage. Sounds fabulous.

  9. Wow! I have never tried a BB cream before because I have heard mix review between the US BB cream and the Asian ones. I love Epielle makeup remover too! Very great for its price! I will definitely look out for this since it is so cheap and it does not hurt to try! Yay, thanks for sharing!

  10. is it me or did that company cop The Face Shop's BB cream packaging (Power Perfection BB Cream to be exact)? either that or they are related companies...

  11. I hightailed it to Big Lots last night and actually found these. I went and bought the paler shade, figuring it should work pretty well with my NC20(ish) skin tone -- the CoverGirl 3-in-1 foundation in Buff Beige works perfectly on me, so ... First squeeze out of the tube I was a bit worried because I thought it looked kind of yellow but it adjusts well and really does set in a nice matte way, looking natural on me. It also has quite good coverage -- I was much more impressed with this than the half-dozen or so drugstore BB creams I've already tried. And as a bonus, I detect no scent! All that for less than the price of a latte! So glad you shared, G.

  13. I found these today and I love it so far! I'm very fair skinned and most American bb creams are too dark for me. The light beige worked perfect. Definitely getting backups!

  16. I just found this at my Big Lots today (expires 5/17) for $2.00 (it's just 1 oz, not 1.33) and I LOVE it. I have a medium skin color/tone and Natural Beige works pretty well, it's just a touch dark, but I made it work. I'm going to go back and get a back up of Natural Beige and one of Light Beige to mix to make the perfect color for me when I'm not self-tanning.
I can't believe I've been such a makeup snob in the past, but more recently I've given less expensive makeup a go and it's been such a great decision! I tried NYC's BB Cream and it's really good, as well. It doesn't have as good of coverage as epielle's bb cream, but it has a great light coverage.
