How to find out if NYX is coming to your CVS

If you missed my original post from back at the beginning of December and you haven't heard the news elsewhere, NYX is coming to CVS! I've already heard from several of you on social media who have found the new NYX permanent display already installed in your local CVS stores, but if you haven't seen it at YOUR location yet, here's a way to find out for sure if it's coming to your area...

CLICK HERE to search the NYX at CVS Store Locator.

First you have to select a state, and then a drop-down menu will appear for you to select a city. Right now all of the statuses say "COMING SOON" which means exactly that. If you see a "COMING SOON" next to your local CVS store, that means you're getting a permanent NYX display!

NOTE: If you live in a metropolitan area such San Diego, be sure to look carefully at the city options after you select your state. For instance, San Diego is an option (see first screen shot above), but there are also SEVERAL suburbs of San Diego available to select as well, such as Encinitas (see above), Santee, Carlsbad, Del Mar, La Mesa, etc. So if you don't see that NYX is coming to the CVS in your city, look for a suburb within your city--you might have better luck!

Is NYX coming to any of the CVS stores in your area? Have you already seen the display at your local CVS?

  1. YES! Finally! Ulta is so inconvenient for me to get to, and I've been wanting to try NYX forever! We also have a new CVS opening up so hopefully this will get me walking down to it more often.

    1. Same here! Ulta isn't on my side of town, but there are a million CVS stores, so this is perfect!

  2. Yippee! We just got an Ulta in October and now NYX is coming soon to one of our CVS locations. My makeup collection just keeps growing! :-)

  3. saw the new perm NYX display being installed at my local cvs. yay so excited. my local target already had their NYX display set and stocked for some time now but im always leery of trying new makeup frm Target due to the horrible return policy. CVS and most other drugstores have great return policies so this makes me super excited!!!

    1. I work at Target and we take make up back no problem. With a receipt is best, they'll look up the card you used to pay with. Or do an exchange with a license. It's not to far off from CVS, except they'll give you a gift card without a receipt.

    2. the target in my city stated they dont take back makeup products that have been opened. if that is just a one off then its good to know that not all targets are like that.

    3. I also had the same experience at my target. I have even tried to return unopened makeup, and they only offered an exchange. The other time was when a product broke after one use (the pump of a primer). They wouldn't take it...I love cvs because I get cash back rewards, discounts, etc. oh happy day! :)

  4. Iowa isnt even a state option on the drop down list :( Boo!!!

    1. Really? When I worked at Target, we took makeup back no problem. If they are being mean about it, you could even try saying you are allergic?

    2. thanks for the allergeric tip! i tried to return a revlon foundation before due to it being the wrong color and the girl wouldnt take it stating it had been used. :/ but maybe the allergy excuse will work next time :)

  7. Last week I saw the display set-up at my CVS with a big piece of cardboard in front of it. So, no product yet. The list says that all three (Yes, 3) CVS's close to me will be stocking it!! Yay!

  8. no luck in finding one within an hour from me in Oklahoma :(

    1. Where in Oklahoma are you at? I'm a little shocked that they list only one location in OKC and I don't feel like making a trip either to Shawnee or Norman. :/

  9. Gosh, no luck here either an I am in the Bay area by Hayward, CA

  10. The city I live in has several CVS stores, but no mention of NYX at those. It will be at two nearby locations. Most likely I would only purchase at CVS if NYX was on sale though. I prefer to shop at Ulta because they have the largest selection.

  11. I was so excited about this, the closest CVS that will sell NYX is almost an hour away :( There's on literally like a minute away that's not on the list

  12. No CVS around me, but I did want to tell you that there's a new permanent NYX display at my Wegman's. That was a pleasant surprise when I went food shopping yesterday! 😃

    2. Lauren, I saw an elf display too! I'm right outside of Syracuse...this Wegman's is in Fairmount.

  15. Yay, my store will be getting it! Also - I think you have posted this already, but my local Walgreens has new displays for Iman and Black Radiance cosmetics set up. They were empty, but they were being filled yesterday!

  16. Thank you for posting this! I've been wanting to try their products but it was too inconvenient for as I rarely get to make it to my closest Ulta.

  17. So no CVS carrying NYX in Manhattan, NYC? Did someone hit their head?

    1. That was my exact thought!! What the heck NYX?!

    2. In NYC, NYX is sold at some beauty supply stores, the chain Ricky's, and Target.

  18. Boo! Once again I'm out of luck on finding nyx anywhere near me. :(

    ReplyDelete
  19. Woohoo! So excited! Both Ulta and Target are 30 mins away for me! Can't wait to try more NYX and use ECB's!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Woohoo! Both locations near me are getting NYX! I am close to an Ulta as well, but hey, the more NYX, the merrier :)

  21. Looks like several of the LA stores are getting NYX! The list is odd though - Hollywood is listed as a city, but it's part of LA. Maybe they meant West Hollywood, which is actually a separate city.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Awesome! All 3 of our CVS's are getting NYX...so between that and the four Ulta's fairly close by...I'm all set. Lol.

  23. In Michigan it looks like it's only coming to the Detroit area, and they're ignoring the rest of the state :(

  24. The lone CVS in Central NY is in a town so small it isn't even mentioned on the drop down list! lol. That is pretty typical of this particular CVS, they never have any qood cosmetics and they never get anything LE or "fun". The town is a bit "granola" and alot of the people there don't bother with fashion or makeup or style....

  25. Hey Caressa Gledhill don't know if you are near a Stage but all the Stages near me are starting to carry Nyx and a lot of beauty stuff. One store in a smaller town has lots of little displays and the one in Mcalester has remodeled and they have a huge beauty section now even with Clinique and other counters.

  26. No go in Cincinnati! Doesn't surprise me one bit because the CVS stores around here are LAME! At least the Ulta not far from me carries NYX so all is not lost...

    ReplyDelete
  27. I just checked and it says coming soon for my local CVS! I'm soo excited!! The closest Ulta is about 25 minutes from me which isn't bad but I don't like to drag my butt out there for drugstore makeup lol. Having a NYX display less than 5 minutes away will be so epic!! I wonder when it'll go up

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yep I have one near me, saw the stand about 2 weeks ago, I'm in the Manhattan Beach area of Los Angeles.

  29. This is soooo helpful. Thank you so much G!

  33. Tons of NYX coming to the Chicago area, but not downtown! I'm happy they're at least at Ulta.

  34. One out of the 6 CVS in Temecula will be carrying it .

    Better than none ! :)

  36. Argggg! Not close enough to me. That's ok. I have a Target that carries them and a beauty supply store that has quite a few colors. Good enough for now I suppose! Thanks for posting this!!

  37. Yay! One's coming near my place. I hope they have lots for me to choose from!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Awww man, outta luck...none close to us. Bummer :O(

  39. Gosh darnit, my CVS isn't on there! Happy hunting to everyone who found theirs... I guess I'll just stick to Target for NYX =)

  40. Yay!! Coming to a few stores in my area!

  41. The sucking part nyx doesn't have coupons

  42. Found it in my city but nyx doesn't have coupons suckishhhh

  43. Only one in Oklahoma City and that is on the north side? O__O Luckily the Ulta here has a pretty good selection but I might have to take a trip to the CVS listed one day just to see what they have.

    ReplyDelete
  44. For crying out loud. Iowa isn't even an option to search for. It sucks here for beauty.

    1. I agree! I live in Iowa and it's not even in the drop down menu to choose from!

  45. Nyx is not coming to any of my cvs' but they are coming to every other cvs in Virginia!

  46. Sadly it is not coming to my town since we are a far cry from metropolitan but it going to a store about 25-30 minutes from me and to a store in the town I am hoping to go to college in next year.

  47. I have never been so disappointed in my life. :(

  48. Three things:
1 - While I am excited about this, I hope they don't take away another brand that I like in order to put NYX in. Someone commented on another post that her CVS was getting rid of Wet N Wild. WnW has better quality and better prices than NYX so I would be gutted if they stopped carrying it.
2 - I'm surprised that all three of the CVS stores I regularly go to will have NYX. I'm also surprised that Rohnert Park was even available as a city on the drop down menu because it's so dinky.
3 - OH DEAR CVS GODS, PLEASE SELL TAUPE BLUSH! I'd like to see it in person before buying it and if I buy it and like it, it would be so much more convenient to get in store rather than ordering online.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I didn't even see my town. I guess it's too small?? Does that mean my town is for sure not getting NYX at one of our CVS stores??

    ReplyDelete
  50. Wow, a list my city is actually on! There's an Ulta here, but they are so terrible about keeping stuff in stock with Nyx. And if something you want, especially coveted items like Soft Matte Lip Cream, is actually there, it has been opened and sampled. I don't think as many out-of-town people go to CVS as they do Ulta, and CVS also has good sales. I am excited!

  51. Display up!!! at the Pearl River CVS (NY, on the NJ border) - surprising, as the CVS in NJ is newer / cleaner / larger. The Pearl River CVS was better stocked and had a friendly SA around the makeup dept. Hooray!

  52. I encourage everyone to check their CVS stores even if it's not on the NYX website list. I have seven CVS stores in my town, and none of them are on the list. But, when I was at the CVS closest to me today, there was a full NYX display! I was happily surprised! So check even if it's not listed!

    ReplyDelete
  53. So if mine doesn't say "coming soon" next to it, does that mean that my store isn't getting a NYX display?
