Revlon Divine vs. OPI Germanicure

Reader Olga from Lacquer-Loving Lawyer compared Revlon Divine (from the Revlon Fall/Winter 2013 The Evening Opulence Collection) to OPI Germanicure (from the OPI Fall 2012 Germany Collection). Keep reading to find out if this is a dupe-alert!

Revlon Divine from the Fall/Winter The Evening Opulence Collection

Olga took the following comparison photos in two different forms of lighting (indoors without flash and indoors with flash). I'm honestly having a difficult time telling these two polishes apart--how about you?

I'd say we've got a dupe on our hands (pun intended)! What do you think?

Thanks SO much, Olga, for taking the time to share (and swatch) this with us!

  1. Yep, I'd say they're dupes! I just bought Divine but I don't have Germanicure so that works out well for me! :D

  2. Ooh! I've been wanting the OPI for a while. I wonder how Wet n Wild Under Your Spell compares, since that one is even cheaper and more readily available?

    2. When I compare germanicure and wnw I think wnw is just a tinge more burgendy...I'm personally a little ashamed to admit I own both lol and for the record sinful colors rich in heart and under your spell are dupes...I would say unless you happen to be a burgendy hoarding moron (such as myself...I'd like to start a club) ;)they all aren't necessary...but I would pick under your spell of the bunch :)

  4. I'm glad these are dupes! Now I can get this gorgeous shade for less ;)

  5. It also reminds me of sephora by opi I'm with Brad!

    1. I was afraid it would be a dupe for SOPI I'm With Brad, but it's not. Divine has a lot of red in it that is not in I'm With Brad. I was so happy when I saw that they were not dupes and felt justified in buying Divine . . . but then I made my way down to OPI Germanicure on my swatch wheels, and I couldn't see a difference. I may return Divine. I have some swatch comparison photos of Divine vs. I'm With Brad. If any of those photos turned out O.K., I will forward them to G.

  6. I'm so glad I didn't buy Divine when I saw it, I was *this* close, but I knew I had to have something similar in my stash.

    1. I was on the fence, too, but I was with my husband, and he encouraged me to get it because it was the last bottle and inevitably when I don't buy a polish then the next day I regret it and drive all over town looking for it, and it was only $4. It is so very pretty. I was really hoping I didn't have anything like it already. I used to never leave the house without my nail polish swatch wheels, but now I have so many that I leave them at home unless I know that I am going out specifically to buy polish.

  9. I bought Divine the second I saw it. I also have Germanicure. I don't care that I have both or that they are dupes. Both are gorgeous. Divine wore really well too. I had it on for a week with just barely any chipping/tip wear.

  10. Does anyone know how close these are to the limited edition Maybelline Auburn Ablaze from last year?

  11. I wonder if it's the same/similar to Revlon Spice It Up. I have Divine, but not Spice it Up.

I've also found Divine is very close to Illamasaqua Scarab, but Divine has slightly more prominent shimmer.
