As you can see, in this "Get The Look," Gucci Westman used a Revlon Lip Butter in the shade Invite Only, and it's a teal color. According to the blurb above, this doesn't appear to deposit a blue color onto the lips--it's used to "counteract redness" and make the lips a "nice, sheer beige tone." Interesting!
Shawna mentioned that perhaps this will be part of a Revlon Gucci Westman Limited Edition Fall Collection, and I agree with her. The Fall 2012 Revlon Gucci Westman Collection contained Super Lustrous Lip Colors, so it will be nice if the Fall 2013 collection has Lip Butters instead (just to mix it up a bit!). But of course that's only a guess...for now, we'll have to wait and see!

ReplyDeleteInteresting. Lipstick Queen's Hello Sailor gives a plum/blackberry lip. Maybe this is a new trend, but all I can think of is those mood lipsticks from when I was a kid. :)

this sounds a lot like MAC's Spring Bean Lustreglass. It was green in the tube, but appeared caramel colored on the lips.
ReplyDeleteI walked by Shu Umera's counters and saw a TEAL and a PURPLE high shine lipstick! They are to be used on top of another color to change the shade. I wonder if the lip butter can be layered as a color changer.
