Costco sightings

If you're in the US and you're out and about this long holiday weekend, you might want to pop into your local Costco because there are some awesome beauty deals to be had!

Reader Flor was nice enough to share these pics with me at the end of June (apologies, Flor, for not getting these up sooner!) but I know that they're just now popping up at various Costco locations due to the buzz I'm seeing around the internet. Take a look!

Pati Dubroff Professional Neutral Eye Palette
(Costco price: $17.99)

For those who haven't heard of Pati Dubroff, she's a pro makeup artist with a large celebrity clientele (I've heard that she's a favorite of  Gwyneth Paltrow). You can see some of her work here. According to her retail website, these products haven't officially launched yet, so I can't tell you the what the full retail price is going to be but I'm assuming this is a discounted Costco-only price.

Also, I believe that one of you left a comment here on the blog recently saying that the quality of these shadows was comparable to the Urban Decay Naked Palette. If that was you, please comment here to confirm that I'm remembering that correctly!

(Costco price: $14.99)

Jenna Hipp What's Hot Now Nail Collection
(Costco price: $14.99)

I've seen lots of buzz about this 12-polish kit from Jenna Hipp who is a "world renowned celebrity green nail stylist." I know that Kelly over at Vampy Varnish is working on swatching these polishes right now, so keep checking her blog for her post if you want to see swatches.

nailuv 12 Piece Professional At Home Gel Nail System
(Costco price: $29.99)

Reader Cheryl R. also spotted this kit at her Costco at the beginning of June:

Flor mentioned to me that nailuv products are sold at Nordstrom, so I took a look and there's a gel polish kit on the Nordstrom website that retails for $125. That kit only contains 8 items whereas this Costco set contains 12 items. Also, nailuv gel polishes retail for $14.95 at Nordstrom and as you can see, you get some bottles in this kit--this looks like quite the bargain at $29.99.

If you own any of the kits featured in this post, I would absolutely LOVE to hear from you in the comments. Please tell us what you think of them!

Thanks so very much, Flor and Cheryl R., for the great sightings, pics and info. I really appreciate it!

  1. Ooh this makes me want to run to Costco right now but I just *know* mine won't have anything shown here. They only cosmetics they ever get aside from their Kirkland stuff is drugstore brands.

  3. I bought the nailuv kit on Sunday. I have perfect polish today, 4 days, that never happens for me. It is an easy and fast method. The colors are nice as well, I especially like Merry Mermaid (mint with slight shimmer).

  4. I bought the gloss pencils. They have no pigmentation at all. They are quite drying as well. I'm taking mine back.

    1. I bought the eye pencils and while they are not highly pigmented they are very creamy and make a nice base

  8. Will we see any reviews from you, G? That's not a bad price for a UV kit! Wanted to try them but price and the drying of the nails isn't a pleasant idea. Mine struggle with strength already... They'll grow but they 'bend' easily (if that makes sense?).

    1. Gel polish isn't real thin like regular polish. It's supposed to be a great strengthener for people with thin nails.

  9. Costco also has a nice variety pack of the round EoS lip balms. It's $10 and has 5 different ones in the package if I am remembering correctly. In my Costco they are over near the pharmacy window rather than with the rest of the beauty products. They are on that wall where they keep the rubbing alcohol and first aid type items.

  10. I also spotted a pack of five EOS lip balm at my Costco

  11. Wish we had a Costco... Is this kit a regular uv light? The LED uv lights are supposed to be much faster. Either way, it's an outstanding deal. Most lights are $50 all by themselves.

    1. Its LED... 30-45 secs. Depending on which coat you're doing!

  12. I was the one that commented about the Pat Dubroff Palette last week. I was saying that the colors are silky and pigmented. I no longer lust after the Urban Decay Naked palettes now that I've purchased the Pati Dubroff because I don't it can get any better than this for color or quality.

  14. I just got an email from HauteLook advertising Nailuv. Each piece is individually sold and the lamp itself is selling for $35! The polishes were $8 a piece.

    1. Thank you soon much!!! I don't have a Costco near me so naturally I don't have a membership. The nail kit was such a good deal and I had no idea I could order online. Just ordered mine with free shipping and only a 1.50 surcharge for being a nonmember. So worth it!!
