Spotted: New Sinful Colors Almost Famous Limited Edition Glitters Collection

We've got another new collection from Sinful Colors popping up at Walgreens, Nouvettes! A huge thanks to reader Mariana for this one! Mariana spotted the new Almost Famous Limited Edition Glitters recently and was nice enough to share. Take a peek:

Sinful Colors Almost Famous Limited Edition Glitters collection
(retail: $1.99 each)

Mariana pointed out that these polishes are very reminiscent of the China Glaze Prismatic Glitters, and I would definitely agree with her! In fact, as I was writing this very post, I received some comments from other readers here and on Facebook indicating the exact same thing. But the best part is that, unlike the China Glaze Prismatic collection, which contains six shades, there are eight shades in the Almost Famous Collection, including some lovely jewel-tones (no jewel-tones in the Prismatic collection).

Keep reading for a closer look....

Mariana was nice enough to share a few close-up bottle shots:

Fantasy (above) looks nearly identical to China Glaze Full Spectrum
which I own and swatched here.

If you find this collection at your local Walgreens this week, don't forget that there's a $1 off Sinful Colors coupon in this week's Walgreens ad (the ad for 2/17 - 2/23, available in-store starting Sunday)! And of course be on the lookout for the annual Green Ocean display.

Thanks so much, Mariana, for the great scoop and pics. I really appreciate it!

  1. NICE! I already have the China Glaze Prismatic polishes so I probably might pick up the colors that are different.

  3. I just bought a bunch of Sinful Colors today. I wished I had waited one more day and had the $1 off coupon. I was only able to pick up the St Patty's day display colors though as the other new collections are in our stores yet. Maybe later this week??? There are an awful lot of empty shelf spaces and I just know new 2013 makeup is on it's way!

  4. Speaking of the China Glaze prismatics - I picked up a few from a new Wetn Wild Coloricons display today. They look like lollipops - the names of the ones I grabbed are -" Frosted Over", " Icing backup" and "Sprinkled with love". They also look identical to the WnW display of the Bejeweld collection from last year, but I'm not positive.

I can't upload any pics right now, using a tablet. So sorry :(

I hope I can find these Sinful colors glitters, so pretty.

  9. I took my swatch wheel of China Glaze's Prismatic glitters to Walgreens today to compare Sinful's glitters, and not only is SC Fantasy is a close dupe for CG Full Spectrum, but SC Bombshell is a close dupe of CG Raydiant, and SC In The Spotlight is a close dupe of CG Optical Illusion.

  10. I grabbed 6 of these today - 50% off all 6. The girl did 2 transactions (her idea) - anyway - while the glitter is similar to the China Glaze and WnW - the color shift is absent. They are super pretty and sparkly, but as far as I can tell - the color doesn't shift at all. The base colors are similar tho, just no pretty duochrome. For 1.00 each - they are certainly worth seeking out. The jewel toned ones are a solid color, with the exception of the dark purple, it has a ton of magenta, almost red glitter in it.

There is one called "Show Stoppjng" - it is reminding me of a Pure Ice color called Spitfire.

    1. The glitter pieces in 'Show Stopping' are a bit larger than 'Spitfire', but essentially the same.

    2. Yeah - it seems like a denser mix of glitter too. I don't think I have ever even used the bottle of Spitfire I have, but it's sparkly - so it had to be mine, lol.
