New Pantene Pro-V Ultimate 10 BB Créme

What, you say?

Pantene is coming out with a BB cream.

But Pantene is a haircare brand.

Yes, I know. It's a BB Cream for HAIR.

This was pretty much my inner dialogue when reader Alina on Facebook so kindly shared this information with me. A BB cream for hair will be on drugstore shelves this month:

I'm trying to wrap my mind around this one. Thoughts?

Thanks so much for the heads-up, Alina!

  6. It kind of stinks that in Asia BB creams are so good but in America all the companies just seem interested in making a quick buck and turning them into a gimmicky product.

    1. Exactly! I also feel that some companies don't really know what a BB cream is so they poke fun at it by referencing them as alphabet creams (Hard Candy) and now as an all-in-one hair cream.

    1. LOL I thought the same exact thing as soon as I read this!

  8. If it's anything like the American BB creams for the face, I'll assume this is just a watered-down, lightweight conditioner.

  9. This is getting out of control. Now we're way far from what a real BB cream is. Ruining the name BB cream!

  10. Lol, it's got my attention! I'm not a huge Pantene fan but if I remember this when I get to the store, I will definitely have a look

  11. This will either be good, or a moment like this "remember when Pantene made a bb cream for your hair?" I think the reason we don't get good authentic bb creams is because people expect them to be light but still cover. I've seen so many that are thick and slightly gray toned.

    1. I own several bb creams and you've just described them perfectly. I only have one from Japan that is true to color and I do see skim benefits when i used it continuously

  12. I will take a cuticle BB cream!!!!! My poor hands could use it! I like Pantene so I am interested to see what they have to offer

  13. I think I will wait until I read the reviews on this one. I'm fed up with American BB cream for your skin, but a BB for your hair? I'm not sure. Korean skin care BB's are the absolute best and they actually make a few of them light enough for my very fair skin.

  14. I'm assuming this is just a leave in conditioner and Pantene is trying to get into the craze.

  15. Yeah a BB cream for the hands would be a good idea. Cuticle conditioning, hand moisterizing and nail strengthing...I'm sure marketing could spin that better. The hair product sounds silly.

  16. I don't mind them using "BB"- it makes as much sense as for skin (well except hair is dead). I am also not bothered by American BB creams- I think a lot of non- makeup types could use them. Really what companies should do is add treatment ingredients and sunscreen to more foundations of all types!

  17. i actually bought this at my walmart tonight, it was only 5 bucks so i decided to give it a try...idk why they had to call it a BB cream for your hair haha... to me it seemed like a drugstore dupe for the "Its A 10" miracle leave in conditioner which I absolutely love.. so if this can perform as well as that does then im sold!! They should of just left the name as Ultimate 10 leave in conditioner/treatment, cuz thats what it is lol ill let you know how it is tmrw after i use it!! :)

  18. btw..ive used this twice now and I absolutely love it! i think it works better than its a 10!! give it a try!!

  19. I bought this at Walmart as well (there were only 2 bottles left!) and I must say I really REALLY love this product. I have very thing, straight hair (medium length) and usually cannot wear too much product in my hair becaise it weights it down like crazy. This product, however, did no such thing and made my hair super super soft and shiny. With the heat on at home and cold weather outside my hair gets very dry and frizzy and taaangly (omg how tangly is gets...), so this is the only product so far that made it look healthy. Love this product and definitely will buy again.

  20. I don't doubt that this might be a great product, but I rolled my eyes when I first saw an ad for this. Considering American BB creams are nothing more than glorified tinted moisturizers with a marketing angle, I think a BB cream for hair is ridiculous. The advertisers must be right on target for some people, though, who will buy it just because it says BB, which isn't the right reason! x
