New Sally Hansen Lip Care Products

A huge thanks to my pal Emi of Project Swatch for this one! Emi spotted new Sally Hansen lip care products at her local CVS the other day, and she let me know that they're also on the Sally Hansen website. Take a peek:

  1. I hate to nit-pick but at least two of those products were already available in different packaging. I checked the ingredients and this Peptide Line Smoother looks identical to the Peptide Line Treatment that was available in a pump. One of the others had similar ingredients to another product as well. I don't mind repackaging from time to time. I just wish companies wouldn't pretend something is brand new when it isn't.

However, I bought a Peptide Line Treatment when they were on clearance for half off at CVS and all I can say is WOW! It really helped with my dry, winter-chapped lips. I can also see a slight reduction in the lines around my lips. So all-in-all, I like the product. However, I do wonder if it ends up being cheaper per ounce in the new packaging or not...

  4. I found their older invisible lip liner at the Dollar Tree a few weeks ago. I wonder how the new one is.

  5. I have never understood invisible lip liner. This is coming from someone who used to do the ombre lips with lip liner & gloss.

    1. When I use lip liner (or want to use but hardly ever do because I *want* a good but cheap clear liner), it's to help the color I put on *over* it to stay smooth and along a line instead of feathering or whatever. For me personally, all I ever *want* is clear liner because I want it to be like a foundation garment: invisible and doing its job behind the scenes.

For someone like me, one clear lip liner makes soooo much more sense than trying to get a bunch in different colors (or the futility in EVER finding one that actually matches my lip color).

    2. I have purchased Sally's Invisible lip liner and it does help lipgloss stay in place. Their old lip products were on sale at Marshalls. I cannot wait to try the lip primer.

    3. Invisible lip liner worn just outside the lip-line help to keep lip products from seeping into the fine lines around the lips better than traditional lip liners, in my experience. I also can never find lip liners in the color of my lipsticks, so the invisible ones work brilliantly.

  8. These sound really interesting, especially for my 'mature' lips. I hope you end up reviewing at least some of them!

  9. Without a dought I know these are probably some amazing products, I was wondering if anyone knows if the Sally Hansen Vita C Lip Plumper has been discontinued? Reason why I'm asking this past week I have been seeing stores clearing them out and putting them on clearance for $1.00-$2.00 each , they are clearing out all the Vita A,B,C,E, ones. I hope they aren't being discontinued cause that Vita C plumps my lips up more than what they were before they thinned out
