The Lipstick League – week of 11.19.12

Welcome to the Lipstick League Best of Fall edition! We’ve asked our members to share a link to their favorite product they’ve reviewed so far this season. And without further ado, here they are...

Gouldylox Reviews - My favorite product so far this season is my current mascara. Would it work for you?

Nouveau Cheap - My favorite product this season, and the one I’ve been reaching for the most, is this little $2 lip balm. Sometimes the best things are just so simple, aren’t they?

Pink Sith - My favorite product this season is an all in one Armani Palette (OK, maybe not ALL) but the blush and eyeshadow are so awesome for fall and easily transition into the holiday season!

Prime Beauty - My favorite products of the Fall season can be seen in this look from Makeup Wars -Battle of the Fall Face. I especially love the LORAC Pro Palette!

Phyrra - I have been in love with my Makeup Show Orlando Manicure with Cult Nails Nevermore and butter LONDON Fairy Cake. I keep wanting to wear this combination over and over again.

we heart this - This is not only Stef's favorite red lipstick of fall, but her favorite red of ALL TIME. It's Stila's liquid lipstick in Beso, and if you're a red lip junkie, you pretty much need this.

Beauty Junkies Unite - I fell in love with the nail colors in OPI's Germany Collection in the fall of 2012, and over 10,000 Pinterest users did too!

Clumps of Mascara - I have been in love with so many nail polishes all season but Zoya’s Ornate nail polish collection absolutely rocked my world. These polishes are so gorgeous that sometimes I just sit and stare at the bottles.

EauMG - I have had a very busy fall and haven’t reviewed half of the perfumes that I have fallen in love with, but I did review one - Von Eusersdorff New York Classic Patchouli. It’s a warm, cuddly comfort scent for me that is perfect for fall.

What's your favorite product from Fall 2012?

  1. I've been loving the new PF warm nude palette, and the new warm liners. Absolutely gorgeous especially when paired with color tattoos. I wore Barely Beige with the lighter colors for a more traditional eye, did a gorgeous gold smokey eye with Bold Gold, and for Thanksgiving another super gorgeous brown smokey eye with Rich Mahogany. The liners are copper, bronze, and the black has a warm coppery shimmer.. it is completely unique to anything else I own. The PF palettes really benefit from the colored bases, the shadows are beautiful but a bit sheer and they just come to life over the base. I also have the new classic nude palette and it is just as pretty, but all cool tones.. perfect to partner with Tough as Taupe.

  2. My fav is the new Bare Escentuals 4.0 eyeshadow quad in Soundtrack. It has 3 metallics...a copper, gold, and dark olive, the other pan is a lemon creme colour. At $30 it isn't a bargain, but it is worth it.

  3. Blistex will be $2 with $1 EB at CVS beginning today (Sunday). The limit is only one on the EB (*sad face*), but more Blistex Moisture Melt!!!!

  4. I am loving the duochrome polish I have on right now. It's Sally Hansen's Lustre Shine in Plume. It is from the fall 2012 collection, a lovely gold that flashes green when you move your hand. It's soo pretty!
My other love this season is a splurge, the Vice palette from Urban Decay. It has some gorgeous vibrant colors that are perfect for fall/winter and I have been getting a lot of use from the green and the teal as a defining liner and the pink and blue look great on me as a crease shadow. I never thought I would enjoy the rich colors as much as I do since I was always a neutral/natural makeup look girl before. I find myself reaching for it daily now, even for my eveyday eye! I love the swipe of color as a liner, it adds a little something but it doesn't make me look as if my favorite website is a beauty blog!(Even though it is.)
