Spotted: New Essie Repstyle Collection

Well we all knew it was bound to happen. Essie has thrown their hat into the magnetic polish ring with the new Repstyle collection. After you see these photos, the name of this collection will make more sense (it's a play on the word "reptile" since all of the polishes in this collection come with a snakeskin design magnet).

Reader Grey Fleur spotted these at Rite Aid and was nice enough to share some pics. She said that the cashier told her the polishes in this collection retail for $11.29 each. As with most magnetic polishes, they retail for a slightly higher price than regular polishes (regular Essie polishes retail for about $8 at most drugstores).

  1. I'm a fan of those polishes but I'm going to have to wait for a good sale! Lol $12 for a drug store polish? I mean I get it its essie but $8 is enough. :P

  2. Not my thing, but I guess snakeskin is a cooler pattern than the magnetic bursts/lines.

  3. I wish the magnetic trend would just go away already! I just don't find it attractive at all.

  4. i love magnetics, but i already have so many that most new ones aren't unique enough for me to buy. $11 is too much for me to pay anyway.

  5. I just wish I could keep my hand still long enough to get a clear pattern, but I have tried and failed. :(

  6. Sinful colors makes a snakeskin magnetic polish. The colors are nice and the magnet is strong for $4.99.

  7. Not a fan of magnetics in general -- just not my thing -- but I can't imagine a more unattractive pattern for my 50+ hands than snakeskin! Quelle horreur!

  8. For 12 bucks being a drugstore polish, it had better apply itself! That's way too high a price point for me, at least.

  9. I like essie just not a fan of magnetic or snakeskin.

  10. I picked up Snake It Up (going up on the blog in the morning) and for the price point, the magnet isn't really that strong. The color, however, stunning, and the application was the smoothest out of all my magnetics. I do wish there was more than just the snakeskin pattern magnets. I feel like this collection would appeal to a broader market if you had a choice of patterns.
