Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer SPF15 in Fair to Light
(retail: $23.99 on the P&G website, 1.7 oz)

I spotted this article the other day about the new Olay CC Cream and wanted to share:

(From Happi.com)
As a leader in skin care with an eye for emerging trends, Olay is bringing the first-ever mass market CC line of products to the United States beginning in October 2012. CC, or Color & Correct, Creams have started to emerge in Asia as a new category and are designed for women who love BB Creams for their ability to provide a quick, flawless finish but are seeking skincare solutions that deliver long-term benefits, according to the company.

The Olay Total Effects CC Tone Correcting Line treats seven signs of aging, while also providing immediate color correction with tinted formulas that include UV protection or tone correction over time. The multiple, must-have instant and long-term benefits leave skin luminous and even-toned with the reduced appearance of discolorations, fine lines and wrinkles.
Olay Total Effects CC Tone Correcting UV Moisturizers include the Olay-exclusive Essential Glucosamine Complex, containing N-acetyl glucosamine and niacinamide.
Olay Total Effects CC Tone Correcting Line will be available in October 2012 for a suggested retail price of $21.50 each where Olay products are sold.

The Olay Total Effects CC Tone Correcting Line is already available for purchase on the P&G Store website. There is a $3 instant coupon available for select items. The full line includes the following products:

Palmer's Eventone BB Cream in Fair/Light
(retail: $11, 1.0 oz)

Back in July I posted details about this new line of BB creams from Palmer's, but I have yet to hear from anyone who has actually spotted these products yet in stores. Today I spotted an article with a bit more info about this and the other new launch from Palmer's so I wanted to share:

(From Happi.com)
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula facial care products is helping women everywhere to achieve a flawless complexion with the launch of two new skin care items – the Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone BB Cream and Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Dark Spot Corrector. Both products feature Palmer’s exclusive Tone Enhancing Complex, an advanced blend of tone perfecting ingredients including cocoa butter, niacinamide, soy, licorice extract, synovea and vitamin C.

The BB Cream ($11) is an all-in-one complexion SKU that primes, perfects and protects skin, replacing the need for multiple products. The Tone Enhancing Complex, combined with mineral pigment, moisturizes, primes, evens skin tone and provides SPF 15 sun protection, all in one convenient tube. Available in two shades, light/fair and medium/dark, the formula also can be used as a primer for foundation or on its own for lightweight coverage.

The Dark Spot Corrector ($15) is a pigment-perfecting concentrate that delivers a dose of key active skin-lightening ingredients to even tone and reveal a more radiant complexion. This powerful complex, combined with the pigment-perfecting Japanese songyi mushroom extract, keeps skin looking brighter and more radiant, according to the company.

  1. I totally want to try Olay's CC cream when it comes out, but woah that's a lot of money for a single product. I'm only in my 20 so I don't need all the anti-age mumbo jumbo in it, but I still wanna try it out, since I have such great results with this brand.

    1. you're never too young to start anti-aging products! trust me, i wish i started younger.

    2. Sunscreen is the only anti-aging product that actually works. That's why its regulated by the FDA. Google truth in anti aging, lots of stuff out there.

    3. What Kalee said. Use a good sunscreen on your face (and neck and hands!) every day or a moisturizer that contains sunscreen. Believe me, it's easier to prevent damage than to try and reverse it!

    4. It's pretty comparable in price to other Olay products, which often perform just as well as higher end products.

  2. What's the difference between Olay's CC Cream and Olay's Total Effects Tone Correcting Moisturizer with Sunscreen? It looks like the same product but different packaging.

  3. Ooh I love palmers- my mom always put cocoa butter on us when we were kids, so this makes me very excited. I never considered using a bb cream, but after reading more info in your post :) I think they sound great. I use an illuminating primer with SPF now, so it's kind if like A pro-bb cream .. I'm very excited - hopefully there are no parabens bht or any of those other preservatives! Then it'd be perfect !! Mmm cocoa butter!! Can you tell I'm excited?!

  4. $23 seems very reasonable if it could replace some other products, like an AM moisturizer and foundation/tinted moisturizer. It's also not bad compared to HE brands!

I'm in my mid-20s and I am sure on my anti-aging grind. Bring on the ”mumbo-jumbo” because I'm gonna look good later!

    1. I do make sure I use products with sunscreen in it. I guess I should start sooner rather than later. God knows I'm be crying when my wrinkles come in

  6. I'm sorry but I agree with other commenters, though Olay products do work well and I like them I feel thier pricing is way out of line! I couldn't believe when they came out with a cream hair remover that costs somewhere around 25 dollars. I used to use Olay all the time and I have branched out to other skin care brands lately and I'm so glad I have. They need to work on their pricing.

  7. I'm in the majority so far. The price point for the Olay CC Cream is high. Howeve, once it hits drugstores we may be able to get it at better prices if we combine coupons with sales that give back Ups or RRs. And PG always has rebates.

I'm more interested in whether this is going to be the old Olay Total Effects Tinted Moisturizer with the title "CC" slapped on it like they did with their "BB cream".

  8. Woah this is expensive...idk how i feel about paying so much

  9. Tried it and absolutely loved it. Def worth the money. I have bad acne, and scars and in my 20s. I used a bb. Cream, then this okay and a bb powder and I'm done!! I'm used to wearing primer, foundation, concealer, and setting powder. My skin has cleared up and scars staring to fade!! A little goes a long way but I def will buy this until I die!!!!

  10. I've heard all types of things about this product, and it was a little too pricey for me to "risk" buying... I could always return it, but with creams and such, I like to use it for awhile before discrediting it, therefor I'd rather not risk it.

However, I've been so curious, and it was finally on sale. So, like a good beauty junkie, I caved! I'm excited to see how this performs!
