NYC Blushable Creme Sticks: going bye-bye?

I've received several comments/tweets/etc. over the past few weeks regarding the availability of NYC Blushable Creme Sticks. Many of you have said that they're getting harder and harder to find, which suggests that they may have been discontinued.

NYC Blushable Creme Sticks from a past Limited Edition collection

So I asked my contact at NYC for an official answer and here it is:

They HAVE been discontinued.

So I suggest that if you love these as much as I do, and you see them in any of the stores in your area, that you stock up while you can. On the plus side, my contact said that the Cheek Glow Blushes are still very much available, and the retail on those is $1 less than the Blushable Creme Sticks.

Thanks to everyone who asked about this, and I'm sorry I had to be the bearer of bad news!

  1. No wonder I can never find them! Good thing I bought them all when they were 75% off at Rite Aid a few weeks back.

  2. I really like the one I have, but by the time I finish it I'm sure I will be on to another blush product!

  3. Bummer!I was just working myself to try those. Oh well, I guess I'll have to drown my sorrows in lipglosses :)

  4. The cheek glow blushes are crappy...why oh why are they discontinuing one of their best products!? I can never find these OR the bronzer, which is another one of the best things they make :(

  5. Too bad. They might bring it back after a few years though. I don't think it's the first time they've had this product and discontinued it. I remember using them when I was in my early twenties, about ten years ago and then they disappeared off the shelves and I rediscovered them on YouTube years later as a "new" product everyone was talking about.

  6. I've been looking for these forever since they came out, and never got to try one, and now they are going to be gone FOREVER... that kinda makes me sad.

  7. I always thought the blushable creme sticks were a LE product. I can't believe they're getting rid of them, if they're such a big seller. Why do companies do that?

  8. Nooooo! This is seriously horrible news :/ Guess I'll be going tomorrow to try and stock up on my Plaza Pink while there's still time!

  9. Selection varies in your area, but I have seen lots of these at my local Ocean State Job Lots, if you have one. I was there yesteday and didn't pick any up, but now that I know that they're discontinued, I'll be going back.

  10. I bought a bunch of these 75% off based on glowing reviews, including the bronzer and highlighter.... but I have to say I don't really like them that much. They have a very greasy feel, don't last very long, and seem to want to spread out too far when applied. I still wear them on occasion when I'm in a big hurry, they are convenient, and quick to apply.

  14. No wonder I can never find them ! I use the NYX Stick blushes which look similar and they're pretty Long lasting. Still not as cheap as these but less then 6 for the NYX ones are not bad at all.

  15. In my area they were discontinuing them since January and they along with other NYC products were 75% off until all inventory was sold off :(

  16. Just....why? Why do the products I love leave me? It is like my love is the kiss of death!

  17. I used to love them, until I started having a reaction to them. They are a really nice product, and I probably would continue to use them otherwise.

  19. Hard Candy and NYX both do a stick cream blush and they are under 10 bucks. That might be an option!!

  24. Dupe alert! Maybelline Master Glaze! New product, so much like the Blushable Creme Sticks! Maybelline MG are smaller packaging but the actual product is the exact same diameter and you get the same amount of product as NYC BCS within a few ounces. Maybelline MG "Just Pinched Pink #10" is an EXACT DUPE for my favorite NYC BCS "Big Apple Blush." Same shade/color, same consistency, same awesome blendability whether using a finger or brush, in the container it looks like the same exact product! I think I got mine for around $7 at Walmart, so it's dirt cheap too! SO EXCITED!
