The Wednesday Question

Do you own any higher-end beauty products that you believe are absolutely worth the splurge?

For me, it would be Bobbi Brown powder blushes. There's something about Bobbi Brown's blush shades that simply can't be duplicated. Every one I've ever owned seems to give me a glowing-from-within quality that I can never quite duplicate with drugstore blushes.

  2. laura mercier perfecting water rich is a must for me, ever since i got a sample a few months ago. it is a bit harder to find here in canada, i'm struggling, but i may be able to pick it up next month. second is one i cannot afford at the moment but if i could, it would be without question. and that is mereadesso face and neck toning gel. retails for $120. lasts forEVER. replaces five products and changed my life. if only it were cheaper!

  3. My Bobbi Brown foundation. I've tried drugstore and nothing works. Color match is great and I don't look all made up.

  4. Bobbi Brown foundation. I"ve tried drugstore and can never find a good color match.

  5. INGLOT shadows. Nothing creamier, easier to blend, or pigmented. Wet N Wild comes close but their shadows crack far too easily and are not nearly as durable. INGLOT's worth the splurge and the hunt!

  6. Bobbi Brown Creamy concealer. I have very bad dark circles and it covers them completely.

  7. I'm with MissAshDG. I recently switched to MAC Stduio Fix and I have NO idea what took me so long. Same for their Blot Powder and loose set powder. They are amazing.

My only other non-MAC splurge would be Ellis Faas mascara. It has spoiled me for all other mascara's and is completely worth it if you like your lashes massively long and full.

  8. I'm not sure how high end it is, but I love my Too Faced Natural Eye Shadow set. The colors work great and the little instruction cards are good too!

  9. I haven't actually bought this yet, but I WILL: Bobbi Brown eye make up remover. I rec'd a small bottle as a sample with an order, and it removes ALL my eye make up, even full stage make up, with one dab on the wash cloth. Other make up removers I've used (almay, neutrogena, loreal, clairs, to name the others I have at the moment) require easily 10 times the amt of product to get the job done. I truly never thought that there would be that much of a difference for just a make up remover. I figured they were all just about the same. WRONG!

  10. MUFE HD foundation...beats anything else I've ever used.

  11. Philosophy Purity Cleanser is the best skincare product I've ever invested in. I will not go back to drugstore cleaners after that one. I also love my Bare Minerals Matte foundation. I desperately tried to find a drugstore foundation this summer, but I always went back to my Bare Minerals. Tried and true and worth the $$!

  12. Giorgio Armani's Eyes to Kill eye shadows and Chanel's Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadows. Without a doubt.

  13. I absolutely love my Urban Decay eye shadows. I normally don't splurge on makeup, wait for sales and try to coupon everything. But when it comes to Urban Decay's eyeshadows I will gladly shell out the cash on those. One thing I have to hold back on is buying all the palettes when I see them.

  14. Two Faced Shadow Insurance. Nothing compares! Also I absolutely love my DuWop Lip Venom. I'm mostly a drugstore girl, but I shell out for a couple things.

  15. Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Smashbox duo brow powder and setting wax.

  16. Definitely the Urban Decay Naked palette, it's so great for any look!
