Swatchefest: Wet n Wild LE What Happened Last Night? Collection

The LE What Happened Last Night? collection has hit certain stores already (click here for pics of the display), although the official release date is November 2011. This New Year's Eve-themed collection contains reissues (existing core collection shades with different names) but I thought it might be helpful to swatch all of the colors in this collection anyway, for reference. As with all Wet n Wild Wild Shine polishes, these retail for $0.99 each:

From Wet n Wild:

I thought it might be helpful to make of list of all the colors in this collection along with their corresponding names from the core collection:

5,4,3,2,1 = Caribbean Frost
I Can't Stand Up Straight = Metallica
Whose Lips Are These? = Kaleidoscope
Tipsy On Bubbly = Hallucinate
Pop The Cork = Sparked
I'm Seeing Double = Burgundy Frost
The Countdown Begins = Frosted Fuchsia
Ring In The New Year = Eggplant Frost

All of the following swatches were done using two coats of polish and no top coat. I thought it would be fun to hold the Fantasy Makers Glitter Gel in these photos, just to make it even more festive!

Left to Right: Pop The Cork (Sparked),  I'm Seeing Double (Burgundy Frost), The Countdown Begins (Frosted Fuchsia), Ring In The New Year (Eggplant Frost)

Left to Right: 5,4,3,2,1 (Caribbean Frost),  I Can't Stand Up Straight (Metallica), Whose Lips Are These? (Kaleidoscope), Tipsy On Bubbly (Hallucinate)

And here's a close-up of  Whose Lips Are These? (Kaleidoscope) and Tipsy On Bubbly (Hallucinate), just so you can better see the difference between the two:

Have you spotted the What Happened Last Night? collection in your area yet? I won't be creating an interactive map for this holiday collection, only because these are reissues and can be found in the regular wall display (if you can't find this collection).

  2. I've actually seen this collection at my Rite Aid for months now (still untouched!) but didn't care for any because they looked like permanent collection polishes! Even still, none really call out to me xP

  3. I saw them at Rite Aid yesterday while looking for Flirting with Fate. I didn't pick them up, but it looks like nobody else has either; the display was completely full!

  4. I am LOVING 'Whose Lips Are These?' and 'Tipsy On Bubbly' for a pretty topcoat. I love 'Pop The Cork' only because I'm obsessed with colored glitter polishes right now (I have at least 4 polishes). 'Ring In The Year' is a gorgeous color too! :)

  5. I don't get it...why is this such a thing when all of these are just renamed core polishes?

  6. Ms Glitz Glam: Don't forget--if you can't find the display, you can always get these colors in the regular core collection wall display. :)

Joyce: Sorry none of these shades speak to you! But I understand. :)

    Lindsay: Interesting!

Jaida: Glad you like them! :)

Amy: Not sure if i can explain it, but Sinful Colors does this as well. Maybe retailers ask the brands for holiday displays but don't want them to make all-new shades? Sorry I can't be of more help.

  7. I didn't know these were part of the core collection. This is what I get for skimming your post >.<! I want Kaleidoscope and for a buck, who wouldn't lol. I always looked over the white glitter bottle when I scanned the core collection. Never knew it was that pretty! :)! I know it'll look gorgeous over a dark creme!

  9. I'm so glad that you gave us the heads up that these are re-issues. My grubby hands probably would have got some of these and I have all but 3 already. :)
