New Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy & Moroccan Argan Oil collections

I hit the jackpot at CVS this week, folks! I'm going to be showing you several different new collections I've spotted so here are the first two, which are two brand new lines from Organix:

Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Collection

Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner

Notice the tags on the bottles that say "Sulfate & Sodium Free".

Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy 30 Day Smoothing Treatment

Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy
Flat Iron Spray (left)
and Anti-Breakage Serum (right)

The one thing I must share with you about these Brazilian Keratin Therapy products is that they smell AMAZING. Oh my gooooodness. These products contain cocoa nut oil (not to be confused with coconut oil) and they have a rich, chocolately, buttery, gourmand fragrance to them that actually made my mouth water.

And next we have this new collection:

Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Collection

Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

(I didn't realize it until I got home, but although this pic shows two bottles of conditioner, there is actually a shampoo offered as well.)

Organix Moroccan Argan Oil

Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment

The fragrance of the Moroccan Argan Oil collection is actually a very clean, fresh scent. It's nice, but nothing noteworthy (in my opinion).

So basically the Brazilian Keratin Therapy line is for curly/wavy-hair and it promises straight, sleek hair for "up to 30 days". The Moroccan Argan Oil line is for hair that needs shine and smoothness.

I have to tell you, I've been holding a personal grudge against Organix for a long time (when the brand first came out several years ago, I used the "try me free" rebates on several of their products--which I loved--and never, ever got my rebates in the mail). But with these new products, I think it's time I lifted my boycott and took the plunge again. Both new lines sound fantastic and I have just the type of hair that could benefit from both the keratin and argan oil in these formulas.

So, what do you think? Are these new offerings from Organix appealing to you? Do you think you'll give them a shot? I'd love to hear from you!

  1. nope. I've tried the coconut milk shampoo and conditioner a few times just hoping it worked because it smelled SO good. It always ends up drying out my hair so bad that I have to cut my hair due to all the breakage. I've never had a shampoo/conditioner do that to my hair. Will never try another product from this brand based on that alone.

  2. Wait, so are these collections LE? I get so confused when staples like shampoo and conditioner can be discontinued!

  3. Ashleigh: I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. I've had similar experiences with other brands (not Organix though) so I know what you mean. :(

Mimi: Hum...I don't recall seeing an LE line from Organix before, and I don't see "limited edition" anywhere on these displays, so I'm inclined to assume these are NOT limited edition. I could be wrong of course, but I don't *think* they are. :)

  4. UGH! I bought this brand recently in some sort of cherry scent and was really hoping to love it because of it being sulfate free. But it really disappointed me! the shampoo is not great but the conditioner was really my complaint. It is AWFUL! It is really thin and once applied to my hair it seems to not even be existent. I don't think that the scent even stays once washed out either. I am hoping that these new lines are better than the one I bought but I will not be buying until I hear some great reviews because like the first poster my hair took a beating from this brand and now I need to chop a couple inches just to restore it. :(

  5. Admittedly, I have really strong hair (never had any trouble with breakage or that straw feeling when I was bleaching and dying over and over as a teen), but I have never ever had a shampoo leave my hair so dry that it broke off or needed cutting. That's bizarre. It got kind of dry when I tried using a baking soda solution to wash and apple cider vinegar as a rinse, but that is pretty much it. *shrug*

I have that weird not quite straight/not quite wavy hair texture, and have been drooling over the brazilian blow out treatments. I'm not about to pay 200+ for something that lasts maybe 3 months though, so this product is exciting to me. I'm definitely in for one, lol!

  6. Oh I just bought the Moroccan deep conditioner! I liked it but didn't find it completely quenching. I have thick straight Asian hair in case anyone is interested.

  7. I was interested in the Argan Oil one... but there doesn't seem to be that many positive reactions to this company.

    ReplyDelete
  8. @razberiswrl: me too. at least with the weird texture comes volume and thickness. i'm considering a keratin blow out for my birthday in a couple months because the salon i just started going to offers a coupon that brings the price down, but this sounds like a better option!

  9. I've always been intrigued by the Organix shampoos, but I love my Lush solid shampoos so much, I don't really use anything else. The only exception is in the winter time when I get a dry & itchy scalp. You gotta love New England! But I would love to have less frizzy hair in the summer, so Brazilian Keratin Therapy will be mine as soon as a good sale hits!

  10. I love the scents from these brands but i feel like it didn't don't do anything for my hair. It makes me sad because the Organix packaging and scents are so wonderful!

  11. Choosing haircare with oil is one of the best things I ever did for my hair. I've see the argan oil line from them, but not the keratin. It's always sold out at Ulta, so I'll check CVS now.

  12. I have used this brand many times, and they do smell wonderful, and it realy conditioned my hair. I plan on experimenting with this brazilian product later this afternoon.

  13. I've tried the Cherry scented shampoo and conditioner combo and wasn't impressed; the scent lasted, however, the conditioner was really thin and loose in my hands...i did however, recently try the tea tree mint shampoo and it's okay as well...i don't want to give up just yet.

    I have kinky/curly 4b hair....

  14. I can't wait to try the keratin therapy line!!! :D as for the Moroccon Argan...I use the ACTUAL "Moroccon Oil" line (not from Organix)and it's the most amazing thing i have EVER used in my hair, luv it!!

  16. i love the idea of and the smell of all organix shampoos and conditioners, but have found that i can only use their conditioners. their shampoos are just too drying for me. i have fine, wavy/curly mid back length hair. i love the coconut oil conditioner as a cowash or leave in. i will still try both of these new lines but probably just the conditioners.

  17. I bought all of the Brazilian Keratin products from Rite-Aid during their BOGO sale a few weeks back, but returned them before use, because I was afraid to get too attached to them if they were a Limited Edition product.
Nothing frustrates me more than trying out a "New!" product, falling in love with it, and then having it discontinued or only available at ridiculous prices on Amazon.com!
I hope this product does well, and stays on store shelves permanentl, when THAT day comes, I will purchase/try the set again. Until then, I will continue being a LOYAL fan/user of Organix "Smoothing Shea Butter" line of products.

  20. ok so i tried the Organix Brazilian Keratin therapy and i love it problem is locating the product again :(....my hair is super curly frizzy and unmanagable i cant never get it straight and i tried it all the saloon charge me an arm and a leg and its pointless because as soon as i walk poof there goes the straight hair and with this product i must say my hair is so soft straight and shiny and frizz free

  21. Just tried the Keratin treatment this morning. Looks and feels like I just came out of the salon. I was paying $200 a pop for the Keratin treatment at the salon and it only lasted 2 - 2 1/2 months for me. I have processed blond, thick, curly hair and it is very straight right now.

If your interested, please know the following:

    - you need patience... took me about 3 hours start to finish. I also used 2 flat irons so that they would stay hot enough for the treatment.
    - your hair will feel soft, but very coated with product (feels the same when I leave the salon)
    - Have to wait 48 hours to wash once you've completed the treatment.

I'll try an update you once I've washed my hair. Thanks.

  22. @gabivillegas - I can't wait to hear about your results!! I am so eager to try this but I'm a tad nervous. I've heard horror stories about the Garnier Straightening treatment.

    Thanks Roxy:)

  23. Update: Just washed my hair after 48 hours and I'm impressed. My hair was straight. It took me 15 minutes (and that may be a stretch) from blow dry to style. I did NOT need to use a flat iron. Typically it would take me about 30 minutes to style even after having the Keratin treatment at the salon. So far this seems to have made my hair even straighter than the salon treatment (Typically after the first wash my hair is still wavy).

My hair feels soft, smooth and NOT brittle. Next test will be the 2nd wash which will be in a couple of days (I typically wash my hair every 3rd day so that my hair does not dry out since it normally is not oily; however if it is needed, dry shampoo or baby powder works well). I'll try and post something next week.

I give this product a thumbs up so far for $15 and hope this review helps others try the product.

  24. The brazilian Keratin system is at walgreens, rite aid, cvs, etc.. The Keratin Therapy kit runs about $15 and the shampoos and cond. run about 7$ each.

  25. Hi, I was so surprised to hear all of these awful comments about organix. I'm dominican w super wavy/frizzy hair and i usually get my hair chemically straightened as well as often straighten it with a blow dryer and ceramic iron so my hair get A LOT of damage. However, ever since i tried the coconut anti-breakage syrum I have been in love!! I just recently tried their conditioner and shampoo and thought they were wonderful the first time i used them. I do agree with one of the earlier comments that the conditioner seemed thin, but once i got out of the shower and straightened my hair there was a huge difference (in a good way) from the conditioners i was using before.
I just brought the Keratin treatment and am crossing my fingers in hopes that it will be as good as i think it will.

  26. About 6 months ago I got a Groupon for a $125 keratin treatment at a salon, since I'd been curious, but it was always way to expensive to even consider. I LOVED it. It FIXED my hair. I kept finding myself lost in the hair aisle at the drugstore looking at "smoothing" products and having to remind myself I don't need it anymore. Hair dried so smooth and straight right out of the shower. NO product, NO styling. From what I understand, there are two classes of keratin treatments: one that is shorter term, more often called 'blowout', and hair can be worn wavy (isnt completely straightened) but it easier to style, lasts like 2 months. Then theres the longer term, more straight and flat treatment, which is what I had got. Well, now my hair has grown out a bit, the ends are still good, not as smooth, but not worth another whole treatment. But my bangs are awkwardly CURLY again! So I've been wondering what to do, and then I see THIS at the drugstore. Ingredients are similar, procedure the same as the salon.. Keratin treatments are getting cheaper and more widely DIY kits are turning up, but still expensive, not $15!! Anyways, I used it today on my bangs, hasn't been 48 hrs, but so far seems the same as last time at the salon. BUT, WEIRDLY, it lightened my hair! LIFTED color (?!?!) I mean it's not totally terrible, it looks ok on me still, like highlights, lol. But, anyone else have this reaction??

  27. I really enjoy using the the Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo, Conditioner, and Renewing Oil. I find the conditioner puts back healthy oils back into my hair and makes my curly hair less frizzy and more defined curls (before I even put in product) It does not provide silky smoothness but that does not bother me because sometimes conditioners make me hair feel heavy and this one doesn't do that.
I bought the Keratin Flat Iron Spray, but I haven't tried it yet.

  28. I've tried three shampoos from organix and overall i like them. the coconut milk one was so-so. I didn't have really bad drying or anything, but it did feel weird. I've also used the mandarin and olive oil one, which I liked. It smells really good and the consistency was better than coconut. It kept my super thick and frizzy hair in pretty good shape. Yesterday I tried the brazilian keratin therapy one and I LOVE IT my hair is so soft and non frizzy and it smells great!

  29. I bought two of the Organix Brazilian keratin therapy treatments since they were the last two on the shelf at Walgreens. I'm very scared to try them though because my hair is very dry, brittle, and have alot of breakage. It is naturally course, thick, and curly. I also purchased the Organix Ever Straight Brazilian keratin therapy flat iron spray. I used it yesterday and its amazing! It felt like my hair was coated in softness. I used a flat iron and I must say my hair has never been this straight and frizz free in my life. My hair did not break during the flat ironing. It felt very protected. I will be on the hunt for much more of this product!

  30. I was shocked to see the two lines at my grocery store today! I decided to pick up the keratin therapy. I've done a regular BKT at home so I figured I'd give this one a shot!
Also wanted to thank all who have commented here with their reviews--they are the only ones I've found for this Keratin treatment!

  31. Update! I did the treatment 2 days ago and it definitely lightened my (dyed) dark auburn hair. I actually like it but this may not be ideal for some people!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Ive never had an in-salon BKT so I don't have that to compare it to. But here's my take on it: I just completed applying it to my hair 2 hrs ago.It took me approximately 3 hours from start to finish. During the blow drying the product caused a lot of flakiness, that is still in my hair now. That may be normal for this process, I don't know. The smell of the product was good, and not as strong as I had thought it would be. Right now my hair looks like it's dirty, oily appearance and feel. If it remains as straight as it is now after the first few shampoos I will be pleased. Looking forward to washing this stuff out. And I don't recommend leaving your house. My hair has always been fragile, extremely curly, frizzy and breaks easily. So I hope this works. Also it did lighten my hair at the roots mostly. I color my hair monthly with a semi-permanent light ash brown color. It turned my roots a reddish color. I Hope it will be okay to color my roots shortly after my first wash. Will let you know how it turns out. So far not bad.

  33. every organix product i've used, i loved. i used the vanilla silk shampoo and conditioner years ago and fell in love for a short time. then, i couldn't find it anywhere, and still can't except online. i saw an ad in a magazine for these products, and i was excited to find them on shelves at my local walgreens, so about a week ago i picked up the brazilian keratin therapy shampoo and conditioner, and i love it. i was using straight sexy hair shampoo and conditioner, and the results i had with that are nothing compared to my new organix products. they make my hair straight and smooth, something i hadn't really noticed with straight sexy hair products. i never really had an issue with the products, but when compared to organix, i see a major difference. i blow dry my hair like i normally would (usually letting it air dry for about 20 mins) and i only need to use my straightener on the ends, before i was using it all over. i can't wait to try the smoothing treatment and the flat iron spray. since i've heard some have issues with it lightening their hair, i'll probably try it about a week before my next coloring. i also picked up the morrocan oil renewing treatment, and i love that as well. my hair feels amazing before i even get out of the shower. i can't really describe the way it feels, but it definitely doesn't feel the same way as my ordinary deep conditioner. maybe i'm just weird. my hair is definitely shiny and smooth after using, and actually today i had someone ask me "how do you get your hair so smooth?" so i had to share my "secret." i've never had issues with this brand like i've heard other people have. i did hear issues with the try it free promotion, which was going on when i tried the vanilla silk line, but i didn't turn in my rebate. i will definitely be trying the moroccan argan oil penetrating oil in the near future as well.

  34. I am intrigued by anything that says "smoothing" or "sleek" on it, as I like to wear my shoulder length, processed hair STRAIGHT. However it has a natural wave to it when it dries without me blow drying or flat ironing, so unless I do BOTH, it never looks sleek or smooth.

Which of these products would be better for me? I have color-treated shoulder length caucasian hair.

    ReplyDelete
  35. my hair, like yours, is color treated, slightly wavy caucasion hair. and before i was having almost the same, but even after blowdrying and straightening my hair, it was never as sleek and smooth as i wanted. now i use the brazilian keratin therapy as my main shampoo & conditioner. i don't wash my hair every day, i usually just wash it once every three or four days. (between washes, i alternate between conditioning it one day and keeping it dry the next) when i do wash my hair, i use the moroccan argan oil renewing treatment and i have great results. i still use both my flat iron and my hair dryer, but i let my hair mostly air dry, then use my blow dryer to dry the remaining damp hair before straightening. right now, these are the only products i've used from the two lines. i would like to try the shampoo & conditioner from the moroccan argan oil line as well, but i will probably only use them periodically, keeping the shampoo and conditioner from the brazilian keratin therapy line as my main shampoo and conditioner.

  36. I have the mandarin, tea tree oil, and coconut shampoos and conditioners from this company. So many people said that it left their hair "too dry" but maybe it is their routine that causes this. When I get in the shower, I quickly shampoo my hair (and shouldn't even shampoo as often as I do) and then apply conditioner and leave it on for the remainder of my shower while I finish washing or shaving. By the time I rinse out these products, my hair feels much more quenched and detangled than it did when I initially ran the conditioners through my hair. When I rinse, I only rinse for about 4 seconds making sure to get out all of the gunk, but leave a little bit of conditioner in my hair. This not only helps with the hydration but keeps that FABULOUS Organix smell that everyone raves about. I'm biracial with super tight curls that are prone to frizz, so if anybody knows about dry hair, it's me. I just bought the keratin treatment and I've never done keratin before so I'm nervous to see what it does to my kinky mixed-textured hair but I'm excited about it!

  37. Hi! I just purchased the 30-day straightening treatment.... My hair is not SUPER curly, but wavy/frizzy enough and very thick, so using a flat iron takes enough time that I thought it would be worth a try. My only question is, has anyone who has already used it had problems with their hair returning to its normal texture after 30 days? I don't want my hair to be straight forever or have funky grow-out issues at the roots....

    ReplyDelete
  38. I tried the organix 30 day keratin treament for the first time on Feb. 1 and thought it was great. My hair stayed soft, straight, smooth and easy to manage for the 30 days. I did have some grow out, but nothing that couldn't be managed.

I'm doing my second treatment today. I did notice that the product was a little different from the first time I used it. The first time the product was like a pearlized bronze color with a gel like texture. Today the product was more of a cream color and was more like a lotion consistancy. After completing the treatment, it appears that the outcome was the same as the first treatment... very straight, smooth and soft. However my hair appears "dirty", like I haven't washed it for some time (the same occured in the first process and similar to the treatments I received at the salon). I used a full bottle on my hair the first time and I used 3/4 bottle this time. I'll try reducing it to half a bottle next time to see if that makes a difference on how my hair looks during the 48 hr. "sealing" process.

Still give the product a thumbs up!

FYI- I have processed blonde, thick, curly caucasion hair.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @Gabivillegas:

I love that you keep us updated with reviews! I'm hesitant to try because of my hair, which is similar in the blonde/processed, but mine is fine & wavy. Anyway, did you notice any breakage, or damage/dryness, of any kind after the treatment wore off? I heard on another site of a girl who said her curls never returned [which wouldn't bother me but eh], so I just wanted to know if you experienced anything in a negative side effect kind of way. I may try this now that I've read enough reviews :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. @dainaleeo2

Glad to assist... when I initially tried it, I couldn't find any reviews, but decided to try it anyway.

The only time I saw "breakage" (and it was very minimal) was during the treatment process. However I chalked it up to the long treatment process... lots of brushing during the initial blow dry. Since the product is left in the hair and it took about 40 minutes to get my hair dry (my hair is thick and long)and then on top of that you have to repeatedly hot iron the hair. The breakage I saw was more from the brushing and heat process and IT WAS MINIMAL. I had no additional breakage during the 30 + day period.

Like you, I could care less if the curl comes back and I didn't see a lot of the curl come back in "grown out" section of my hair, but it did become a little more wavy and I saw more "frizziness". I did see some curl in the new growth, but it was managable. If I had to give you a negative to the product, I would say that it's how the hair looks during the "sealing" period (first 48 hrs.), my hair looks dirty, but the same occured when I had the BKT done at a salon. Well worth it though!

Hope this helps... let me know if you have anyother questions.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Thanks so much for the in depth review! It makes it a bit easier for me to now try it since I've heard mostly all good things. The only thing that was somewhat negative was the lightening of color, but that's fine with me. I was just nervous to try it without any reviews since my hair has been through stress & back, & since it's healthy now I didn't want to chance it.

Sounds really get though! Yea, I can imagine the brushing & flat ironing would be the only part that could damage/dry out the hair, so as long as the product itself isn't contributing then I'm fine :) My hair is pretty fine, just super frizzy & dry, so hopefully it'll be a bit easier for me to brush it through. The dryness is something that a deep conditioning treatment can solve anyway :)

Ah, I've had a BKT as well, so I'm prepared for the 2-3 days of dirtiness. It's no big. Thanks again so much for the review! :) I've tried the flat ironing spray from this line so far, which I really love, so I'm excited to do the treatment. I will in a week or so, since I need to wait 2 weeks after having had my hair colored [just a few days ago I did that].

  42. I've been looking at this in the drugstore and I'm interested as well. My hair is curly, thick, but relatively healthy overall. Question though - do you think you could use this for say, half, the time, and hold some of your natural wave? Or is it for straightening and nothing else? I'd like to keep some of my curl - just have it be... less curly, more wavy. Thanks!

  44. @dipndotts I just used it for the first time a few days ago and I'm really happy with the results. I have shoulder length, thick, curly caucasian naturally brunette hair with a few accent highlights and it's really done great things for me. I followed the directions to a T. If I feel like having straight hair, I just towel dry it and then run a blow dryer thru it with a paddle brush and it's mostly straight. I'm no good at doing a blow out on myself, so I'm used to going to the flat iron to get it done. I actually did half my head straight and the other half I let dry naturally and my tight curls actually turned into beautiful waves (looked like finger waves). Once I saw that I was kinda mad that I had already straightened the other side completely since the waves were so pretty! Should have just let my whole head air dry and gone from there. I only bought the treatment, shampoo and conditioner, but I had previously purchased the moroccan argan oil a few months before and LOVE it. Since it's sulfate and sodium free, I used it in my hair to protect and add some shine. Overall, I'd recommend both products for sure! If you want waves, just air dry your hair, or use a diffuser on a dryer. Just know that in order to make sure you get waves not curls, you will need to follow the directions to a T and flat iron the bejesus out of your hair upon initial usage. It will feel like you forgot to wash conditioner out of your hair (read: waxy and not pretty) right away, but after a day it should start to feel less waxy. I guess that's the stuff settling into your hair. I'd do it over a weekend, like put the stuff in Friday night and wash it out Sunday night or Monday morning. That way if you feel gross about the waxiness, you can just stay home. It didn't smell bad to me, it smelled like I'd been tanning. Cocoa oil has that beachy smell and once I flat ironed it, it had that burny beachy smell that tanning salons and your skin after tanning have lol! The shampoo and conditioner made my hair smell kinda weird the first time I washed it out, sorta chemically, but just slightly. I didn't like it so I made sure the morrocan oil would cover it and it did. I haven't done a second washing yet so I don't know if that chemical smell was the stuff being washed out of the shampoo and conditioner themselves. But there's the long and short of it. Hope it helps!!!!

  45. I just bought the Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment last week & have used it twice so far. It made my hair amazingly soft & less brittle. I also really loved the smell of it. I spent the whole morning after I used it sniffing & resniffing my hair.

  46. I've been reading the reviews on Amazon as well, since I just wanted to keep track on all reviews possible.
The newest one [also the longest one] is from today, a woman who went REALLY in depth about the product. Though, her main point that kind of freaked me out was that it ended up turning her ash blonde hair really, really brassy. Since I had my hair colored a few weeks ago, & really like it, I don't really want mine to turn out brassy. It's dark blonde but I'm still worried, especially since my hair takes a gold tone really easily anyway.
Has anyone else experienced this? I want to try it so badly but I really couldn't handle brassy hair.

    1. My blonde hair turned brassy within a month of using this product. Like a fool, I continued to use it. It darkened my hair so much that I could not longer be called a blonde. I stopped using the product and got my hair lighten. I'm blonde again but it's very brassy.

DON'T USE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU ARE A BLONDE.

  48. So, I come from a mixed background of Haitian, German and Mexican, which resulted in a strange mix of very thick, naturally curly, and frizzy hair... About 10 years ago I decided I didn't want to get relaxers anymore and have been struggling to find a none permanent solution to keeping my hair straight and manageable since. Lately me and the significant other have been going back and forth about getting a perm because of how much time I have to spend "fixing" my hair. Last night after another such discussion I saw the BKT in the store and decided to give it a try in the alternative. So far I am impressed, I plan on returning to the store tonight to get the shampoo, conditioner, anti-breakage serum. In particular I was impressed about how quick it was to blow dry my hair, and how manageable my hair was, even after the pre-treatment shampoo (not a tangle!) and how little breakage I saw. Although the breakage I did see was noticeable, it was very very minimal. I am excited to the see the result on Thursday when I wash it... Thanks for all the great review, seems like I made a good choice.

PS, It does smell pretty great, and I am getting the coating feeling. The only negative is that I suggest having more that one flat iron, doing this close to a window and starting early. Because my hair is thick and cut in layer it took me at least 3 hours to apply, blow dry and flat iron my hair. Even with relatively short hair (cut at my neck)I needed to routinely put down the flat iron, let it rest and hit back up.

  49. Ok so I just thought I would add something that I read on one of the reviews over on amazon.
Apparently the one lady who's hair turned orange/brassy on her blonde hair because of the treatment went to her hair stylist to have a toner put in. Apparently, according to her stylist, the high level of heat is most likely [or in addition to the treatment] what caused her blonde hair to turn more brassy. So if you have blonde hair, I guess turning down the heat a bit would help. Her stylist said that it shouldn't affect the level of performance.
I think that this is what I'll do because my hair is already pretty fine, so I doubt I would need as much heat as someone with tight ringlets. Just something to think about :)

  50. @gabivillegas thank you for all the information, it sounds like my hair is similar to yours... now I just need to find the right day to do it :) I'll try to post after 30 days on the progress...

  51. I did the 30 day treatment a little over a week ago. I have thin hair, but a ton of it with slight natural wave and moderate frizziness. My hair is also chemically treated and blond. The treatment did turn my hair a crazy brassy orangish blond. I was so disappointed because I LOVED the way it turned out. It is straight, smooth and shiny. I have been using a conditioner for grey hair (it looks dark purple) to combat the brassiness and it has taken almost all of it away.

I will probably try it again, but I am going to do a couple of strand tests at lower temps with less product to see if that helps.

All in all, I love what it did to the texture of my hair, but blonds, beware!

I'll update later after I do the strand tests in a few weeks.

  52. @ Nancy: aw man, i'm so sorry to hear that yours turned brassy orange blonde as well. :( This is what i'm nervous about.
did you use the heat that they recommended? & did you saturate your hair heavily with the solution? these apparently were the 2 things that seemed to affect the level of brass in the amazon reviews, so i'm just curious.

glad that the brass went away with the purple shampoos though! there is hope :)

  53. Hi girls! I'm from Brazil, and check out the blog everyday! I love it! Regarding the Brazilian Keratin Therapy, well, here we have hundreds of keratin products. The thing is: if your hair is healthy and has high levels of keratin, don't use products with it. Your hair will break, get really dry and frizzy. So, unless your hair is in terrible conditions, don't use it.
    Big kiss,
    Fernanda

    ReplyDelete
  54. Guys, I want to caution everyone from going on the assumption that the brassiness and lightening was caused by amount of heat or saturation of product. The salon treatments, both the 'brazilian keratin treatment' that I did, and the more generally known Brazilian Blowout, both involve saturating the hair with the product and then baking it into the hair using a flat iron at very high (highest?) heat and passing it over and over the hair again and again. These treatments are not known to lift color from the hair. It has to be something in the Organix formulation. Yes, heat will enhance any color lifting properties of formulations, but it should not by itself lift color. With my dark hair, it lifted color into the brassy reddish stage. With an earlier commenter's blonde hair, she said it just went brassy. Perhaps the result of lifting her color as well? Or perhaps just a chemical reaction in the formulation. I say we contact Organix about it.

    ReplyDelete
  55. @ Mikalyn: Agreed. I know that I had posted something earlier about the heat, but it was just something that I saw on an Amazon review. The woman had asked her stylist, so I just thought it was somewhat worth sharing. I just couldn't use such an intense heat on my own hair because of how fine it is.
I think contacting them would be a good idea anyway. It can't hurt. I did the treatment on my own hair & while it did turn it a bit brassy in some respects [kind of just turned my ashy hair more yellow], it did return more to its normal ashy state once I washed. I guess I was just fortunate. It probably depends on the hair type & can vary. I still second the idea to contact them.

I'm just kind of sad that since my hair is in fact rather fine, it didn't smooth it to the point of air drying entirely smooth. I wasn't expecting miracles, & while it did soften & help de-fluff my poofy hair a bit, it's still not where I want it. I was thinking of doing it again...possibly saturating it a bit more than I did the first time. I'm not sure. at least I didn't suffer any adverse effects.

    ReplyDelete
  56. So, I did it again for the second time, since I wanted to have more of the smooth, straight results, but it did turn my blonde pieces in front a LOT more brassy than the first time. I put more of the solution on it so maybe that's why, or just more exposure to it. Either way, not a huge fan [since honestly it looks awful on my skin tone :\ ], but I will deal through the 48 hours [may just keep it on for 24 depending...], & then if it doesn't return to normal I will do a toning kit. I have a box of Revlon Colorsilk that I could use to tone down the orange with some ash. Anything is better than orange. Hopefully I will get the results from this though & it may be worth it. Thank goodness I have the blonde only on the sides of my face & bangs, not all throughout.

  57. I have been straightning my hair for 17 years. I have used ceramic heat straightners, relaxers, home perms, anything I thought would do the trick. I naturally have very thick and very course curly dark auburn hair. I recently relaxed my hair with a less than desirable result and had to get it cut fairly short to rid my hair of the damage. So when I read an article about the brazilian keratin therapy lasting for up to 30 days of course I wanted in ! I only wish I had read this blog sooner because I just used the product this morning and I too, have that yucky dirty feeling in my hair so I would have waited until Friday. However, my hair seems very straight and smooth and I have high hopes for the next 30 days !

  58. I bought the Brazilian Keratin treatment and just washed my hair after the 48 hrs and so far so good (although I am waiting for it to dry). I am half black (with a smidge native american) and white and have curly hair that is not thick or nappy but tends to get frizzy. My hair usually curls after I towel dry it and right now it only has a little wave (yes!). If my hair turns out, Organix may have a customer for life!

  59. I have very curly hair, and when it rains if I had it blown out forget about it...its gets so frizzy. I bought the Keratin Therapy about 2 weeks ago. I love it! I blew out my hair, and it looked like I went to the salon! Its rained a few times, and on a couple of occasions the rain touched my hair. Not one frizzy hair on my head! I couldn't beleive it. I absolutely love this product. A friend of mine, is going to buy it for her hair today.

  62. Hi!!.... i have been using this and i actually love it, but does anyone else have trouble using the entire bottle on their hair?? I'm dominican and have super thick, wavy, frizzy hair so I feel like I should be able to use as much as anyone but for some reason I can barely use it all on two treatments.
    Thanks!!

  63. Okay... I poste here two days ago, and I can't seem to find my previous post. Anyhow, I did the Organix keratin treatment two days ago, and have finally been able to wash it out! First, let me say that my hair is coarse, thick, wavy and curly, all in the same! Ugh! ;) I also have a light brown natural color with platinum and honey highlights, throughout. When I washed it, my hair was soft and smooth. I blew it dry, and to my amazement, there was no need to straighten it! THIS, my friends, is amazing! Oh, and the dry time was 1/3 of the normal time! AWESOME! Now, onto the DOWN SIDE.... my highlights are ORANGE/GOLD!! VERY BRASSY!! Thank GOODNESS I have a hair Appt on Monday! WARNING TO ALL MY HIGHLIGHTED HEADS --- this WILL turn your highlights BRASSY!!! if u can DEAL with that, this product is WELL WORTH IT! Compared to the $150 a pop I was spending at the salon, $13 is a MIRACLE!! ;) good luck to you all... I will probably use this again, but CLOSER to my hair Appt dates. Thanks for reading my post!

  64. I, too, thank you all so much for your detailed comments regarding your experiences with the Brazilian Keratin Therapy products! I was planning to try it on my hair this morning and am SO glad that I waited to check some reviews before I went ahead with it.

Last week I "splurged" and went to a salon to get my hair colored (I usually just do it myself) so I definitely don't want to alter the color just yet. And now that I know that I'll have greasy-looking hair for a couple of days, I'll be able to plan for that!

I bought the products because I will be traveling to Ukraine this summer and won't have the luxury of blow dryers or straighteners to fix my hair like I normally do. I'm really hoping that this treatment works miracles so I can have that straight, shiny, swingy hair that I love on others.

    Thanks again!!

  65. I just used the Brazilian Keratin Therapy. So far the process is comparable to the two Salon Blowouts I have had.
The Exception is the price, I shelled out $250 the first go round at a high end salon & $150 six months later with a independent stylist.
So $15 bucks is nothing comparatively.
The product does smell like coconut...and chemicals. But the chemical smell is certainly no worse than any salon.
I have not completed the 48 hour period yet but I anticipate good results based on my history with this product line.
As a caution: do follow the instructions. I was liberal in the application of the 30 Day BKT and they advise not oversaturating hair. By liberal, I mean I oversaturated my hair. The drawback is that if you have thin, blonde, wavy hair (me) and apply all the product like your hair is Dee Schnider then the result is unnecessarily greasy,
heavy hair. In all things, moderation.

  68. I bought the straightening system and am planning on using it before my trip to Italy in July. I had a couple questions for people who have used it: How do you sleep with the stuff in your hair? It says to iron out any kinks and not pull it back, but I am a crazy tossy-turny sleeper with amazing bedhead every morning and am worried I'll ruin it. Can I just iron it out in the morning? And if your hair is as greasy as y'all say it is, how do I keep it from getting all over my pillow?

Also, I do love my curls, I just hate how high-maintenance they are. First sign of water and they freak out and poof up. Has anybody's curls come back after stopping the treatment? And can you still use a curling iron? I'm in a wedding three days before we leave.

Has anybody tried curling the ends of their hair while using the treatment? I usually flip my flat iron near the ends to get curls and would love that to be my norm. =)

As far as the products, I'd tried Organix's Vanilla line before and wasn't impressed. However, this Brazilian stuff is YUMMY! I love how it smells! I wasn't impressed with the conditioner as it seemed rather weak, but my hair feels great and isn't weighed down much now, so maybe my previous thick-n-juicy conditioners were too much. The flat iron spray I put too much in the last time and it made my hair really dirty and greasy, but very lighly misting each layer with 2 sprays or so this time left it looking quite amazing (I usually divide my hair into three layers when styling-- bottom of head, middle, and top).

  69. OK, so I finally found the BKT and used it, and waited the month so I could post my opinions here, lol. Overall, I am very satisfied and will be using it again, but ...

    I did things wrong ...

    1) accidentally oversaturated hair. I was scared that I didn't have enough product on my hair because there was about 1/2 the bottle left, so I added more. It ended up being super greasy and flaky/sticky once I was done drying and straightening.

    2) my straightening iron only goes to 410 degrees, not 450, so idk what kind of difference that makes

    3) I'm such a toolbag and didn't realize the next day after applying was EASTER and I had places to go and be seen, lol, so I ended up washing out before it had even been on for 24 hours ...

OK, so, application was pretty easy and straight forward. You wash with the packet of shampoo (I am ASSuming it's the same shampoo that they sell in the line because I have that too and it smells/looks/feels exactly the same), let hair dry to 80%, apply the treatment product, blow dry, then flat iron giving each section 6 or 7 swipes.

The product stinks like crazy, a weird mix of suntan oil/the beach and dirty diapers. Yup. Coconut and poo. Oh well, lol. The price we pay, right??

My results were pretty good considering the hack job I did with the product, lol. My hair is slightly wavy and very thick with lots of volume (poof) naturally, after using the BKT my hair was still wavy but not BIG. It laid nicely and did not GROW when it was humid out (anyone else have hair that grows on rainy days?? LOL!). It also dried a lot faster and didn't get creased when I put it in a ponytail. My hair was also nice and shiny and smooth. I got lots of compliments!

Back to the smell ... my hair smelled like coconut and poo for probably 4 to 6 washes afterward. It was gross, but bearable. The smell faded as my hair dried, but I would get a whiff once in a while and my husband complained about it when he put his face in my hair, lol. It wasn't all that crucial, just something I feel is worth mentioning.

More than a month later, my hair is back to being poofy, but is still shiny and feels a lot smoother and softer than it did before. I have been using the shampoo and conditioner that go with the BKT though, so it might just be that. Anyway though, I LOVE the way my hair feels. I can't wait to redo the treatment the RIGHT way to see what happens.

Also, fwiw, I firmly believe that there is enough product included in the kit for two applications. Even on long hair. As I said before, I used too much because there was still half the bottle left over when I thought I had used enough. At that time, my hair was down to my bra strap and it is very thick.

    I guess I'm done, lol ... I hope this was helpful. :)

  72. I tried the Keratin straightening treatment about 6 months ago. I have thick, frizzy, curly shoulder length hair that I had just had coloured dark with red foils. The treatment took a while to do, left the hair pretty gross for that 48 hours you couldn't wash it for, but I had great results. That is, until I too got that chemically smell when it got wet in the shower and I was washing it. No matter what products I used, the organix shampoo and conditioner that corresponds to the treatment, or even the Brazillian Blowout brand products. I also found that my colour faded from this treatment, and the red went almost pink, which it had NEVER done before when I had it coloured like that no matter what products I used on it. I would not use this treatment again because of the colour stripping and the chemically smell it gave my hair. It's sad, because my hair was so soft, and so much easier to style.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I have used the BKT twice so far, once then waited 2 months and did again. It is great! I love it! I had some problems with color stripping, but find if I color my hair about a week after using the treatment, it works just fine and back to my original color. the coloring has not affected the great straightening results I get using the BKT. I hope they never discontinue this line of products.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I used the straightening product last week and my hair looks as good as it did when I paid $250.00 last year for the same treatment in a salon. That being said, my hair went from very dark brown (colored) to a lighter brown with golden highlights just from this application of the product, but what's really bad is that I can't stand the smell that won't leave my hair. If I wash my hair, I get a wicked, garbage smell until it dries and then just a faint garbage smell. After one day, when I could easily go another day without washing my hair since it still looks really great, I have to wash it to try to diminish the horrible smell. I'm afraid to get too close to people for fear that a breeze will quick up and they'll smell it! Has anyone figured out how to eliminate the smell?

    ReplyDelete
  75. I discovered this line of products after having a professional BKT done. My stylist sold me a TIGI shampoo for aftercare that was sulfate-free, but contained sodium chloride (another big no-no). I did some research online, learned about the Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy maintenance line, and purchased the shampoo and conditioner at Ulta. My first thought was that something this inexpensive can't possibly be that good, but I thought I'd try it. At Ulta, they were "buy one, get one 50% off", so the next day I went back and got the serum and the flat iron spray as well.

Well, I couldn't be more pleased! Used in combination, these products left my hair as smooth and silky as it was immediately after my BKT was done, and they smell fabulous! My husband buries his face in my hair all the time, inhales, and says, "Mmmmmm coconut!"

I haven't tried the actual treatment, and don't know if I'd have the guts (or patience) to do it myself (and the comments about what this does to your color concern me). Then again, I don't color my own hair, either. I leave that to the professionals.

As a means of maintaining your professional BKT, though, I can honestly say that this line is great, and at a fraction of the cost of similar products by other manufacturers.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I am just obsessed with these products. I have very thick, wavy/curly, dry hair. I also color and use irons/blow dryer.

First I used the Brazilian Keratin line and noticed significant improvement in shine and smoothness, however with just the shampoo and conditioner, no straightening. It also made it very difficult to comb my hair post shower.

I was drawn to the Cherry Blossom Ginseng line this time around. I have only used it once, this morning, but the scent has lasted all day long. I also have noticed the shine has still stuck around. The conditioner for the Cherry Blossom one has made it much easier to comb my hair post-shower.

I look forward to finding the Cherry Blossom body line. I haven't had any luck finding it on the web though.

  77. I used the Organix BKT a few days ago and my hair definitely looked greasy/dirty during the 48-hr wait to wash. Although it seems straighter, it did turn my blonde highlighted hair orangy-red. Don't know how long to wait to color it but it looks awful so guess I'll call the 800 number. Don't think I'll be using this again!

  78. I just got a BKT at my salon...can i use the organix line as a substitute for the Brazilian Blowout aftercare line?? I am hesitant about spending the $100 for the professional line after already spending so much on the treatment!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Hey guys, so I've been considering using the BKT but I'm very nervous about how it's going to affect my hair. I have very curly, frizzy, poofy, but oddly thin hair. When it's wet it's the perfect curliness and size but when it dries it gets into all spiral curls and gets about 10x bigger into a cone shape giving it the appearance that its very thick. If you were to bunch it up however, or when its straight, its actually pretty thin hair. Most of you said yours was think so I fear that the treatment will just make my hair flat and icky, did any of you have semi thin hair?

Also while I'm fed up with the curls I currently have, I do like a little bit of curl/waviness. Is that possible with this product? Should I leave it in for less time? Or is it just stick straightness that's the result? And for everyone who experienced a color change in their hair, was that only if you had already dyed it a certain color? If my hair is naturally dark brown (hasn't been dyed in over a year) will it stay that way? Thanks!

  80. I bought this for my keratin needed tresses, and after one use I have decided to take it back to the store. After excitedly (due to effective marketing and packaging) applying the conditioner, my hair was a tangled mess. No matter how cheap the conditioner, it has ALWAYS ran smoothly through my hair, feeling moisturized in the shower. However, to my horror, this stuff left my hair feeling like i just ran mouse or gel through it! The damage control of detangling after my shower left my comb full of broken hair. I am so disappointed at the false advertising here. What good is a keratin formula that dries out your hair into breakage?

Sorry Organix... it may smell nice and look pretty in the bottle but in hair it was a huge dud. Hopefully Walgreens will let me exchange it for some tried and true condish.

  81. I would like to know if there are any blacks that tried the Brazilian Keratin Treatment on natural hair. If so did your hair nappy back up. I bought a application at Walgreens but I am scared to try it because I don't want to loose my natural curl pattern (nappys). If your black and you have tired it please comment. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Hi. So I am mixed. Mom is italian. Dad is black and native american. I have the tighest nappy curls. With frizz around the front and crown of my head. It normally takes me 2 hours to dry and flat iron my hair.
I went to walmart in search of argon oil which works wonders on my hair and found the organix brazilian line. Wonderful!! Styling time is down to 30 minutes after treatment.!
I did the BB treatment and followed it to the T. I did not oversaturate my hair. NOTE to the wise whether u have kinky, curly, nappy or fine hair NEVER ever over saturate your hair with any hair product. Even "healthy" ones. In excess any product can do damage.
Back to the treatment. I have hair down to my boobs. Very coarse and curly. Very color processed. I had dyed it black then lifted it to a light brown with highlights. I only used 1/3 of the bottle. Blow dryed with round brush.( I have professional series blow dryer n flat iron) So blow dry took only 15 minutes. Which was amazing my hair was smooth and almost frizz free already. Then I used flat iron 8 times on thin 2 inch sectons of hair. My flat iron goes to 475 but I kept it at 425 to be safe.
I love it!! I will use this line for life. Also I did use a semi permanet color on my hair one shade darker( natural hue) right before. To combat fading and brassiness. My highlight are amazing. My sister is a hair stylist and depending on what type of color you do( I.e color depositing) they recommend coloring your hair BEFORE keratine treatment to seal in color. Toner and gloss 5 days after treatment but it will shorten the life of your keratine treatment ( those strip the hair follicle removing keartine). She loves this so much on my hair she is gonna use it. Its way cheaper then whole sale price of salon treatments!
So far hair is frizz free. My hair already had some curls that went permanately straight because of coloring and heat damage. So I'm not sure how my curls will come back. But I'm loving the smooth texture. I plan on doing the treatment again in 30 days.
I will update in a few weeks to keep up progress for the curly headed chicks out there. Good luck to all!

  84. Hi...I left the post uner killpretty in october. I am on my second treatment and i love it! My hair is so much softer, shinier and smoother. After about three weeks some frizz came back but i was washing it almost daily for a week or so.I also wash my hair every 2/3 days. I had went to miami and with the wind, salt water and occational rain my hair did not frizz! It stayed straight. Also I used the organix flat iron spray and serum when i flat iron and just the serum when i let it go natural. My curls came back but not as nappy or frizzy. right after treatment the curls dryed naturaly are so pretty and soft! Also i got rid of the smell of the treatment by the second shampoo. The first few shampoos my hair smelled like a wet dog but as soon as i would blow dry the smell went a way. I so recommend this product to any one who wants to control their hair. My hair even without product is so much shinier.
Also I use the keratain shampoo but the brazailian blow out line of conditioner. the oranix keratain mask wasn't enouf for my hair. but its still good. I have that at bf's house. And I alternate those with freddrick Fekkai color technician line of shamp amd conditioner. I love the Organix morracan serum as well. I use that when I havent washed my hair for a few days and its straight. I use it to mask split ends.

  85. If you have colour treated hair DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!! Not only was the product a waste of time and money, but it cost me much more because I had to get my hair recoloured after.

There is no warning on the packaging or the directions on the bottle despite the company insisting that there is. After contacting Organix/Vogue International, the customer service is among the poorest I have experienced. I told them that my (coloured) hair had turned an unnatural shade after following the instructions and I had to wash it out after 18 hours. They pretty much told me "sorry you feel that way and our directions on the packaging and bottle indicate to do a strand test". NOT TRUE!! If you read the packaging and bottle directions, they indicate no such thing. In fact the opposite - it says "safe on colour treated hair". When I scanned the packaging and directions and emailed them again as proof - they didn't even bother to respond.

    BAD PRODUCT!!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  86. So I read the reviews on Amazon and I have been interested in getting a Brazilian keratin treatment for over a year. I just couldn't justify the cost. Anyhow, when I heard about this product and the price, I was determined to try it even after reading some of the bad reviews such as headaches, fumes and a bad smell. Well, I bought one box at Tom Thumb for about $12.50. Which, is more than I expected to pay and it was actually on sale, down from about $14ish. Anyway, I bought it because I was quite excited. I waited until the next day to try it because I was unsure that I wanted to take the time to do it. I followed the instructions and washed my hair twice because I hadn't washed it in a few days. I have very thick, very curly hair. I'm 1/2 pacific islander, 1/2 American Caucasian and both my parents have curly hair. It can take me close to two hours, if not more to straighten my hair with a blow dryer and straight iron and for certain, once it rains, the curls come back, even when I use straightening spray.

So, I followed the directions. Let my hair dry a bit, then put the product on. I probably over-saturated because I have a lot of hair and I wanted it to work. I then waited until I felt it was about 80% dry and blew it straight then straight ironed it in sections at least 7-10 each. Yes, I did have some smoke because I put too much product on but it wasn't stinky. I had a window open and a fan on. It smelled of coconut. When my hair was done, it was very straight and looked a bit oily on top where I overdid it with the product. I have about 1/4 a bottle left but for some reason, I put too much on the top of my head.

Well, I left it on for about 40 hours instead of 48. I wanted to leave it on for three days, but it did give me a headache after a few hours. It also made my eyes watery. I only lasted 40 hours because I didn't want the work I put into to it to go to waste. It took me about 45 minutes to blow it dry and straighten it. At the 40th hour, I was anxious to wash it out.

Well, when I washed it out, the top half of my hair seemed to benefit more than the bottom half. The top was almost straight even after washing and the bottom was still curly. I don't think I worked the bottom as well as I did the top. Although, the curls were looser than normal.

The smell was no longer coconut but more, I can't explain it. I guess stinky doggish but not as bad. So, I read those reviews too and I was expecting it. I have this leave in conditioner that smells really good so I put some of that on and it didn't cover the smell. I then used the Organix vanilla serum and that covered it up a little bit. I then sprayed with John Frieda's 3-day straight spray, combed it through and began blow drying. I must say, it did cut down my blow drying time significantly. I then started using the straight iron and my hair came out straighter and flatter than normal. I like the results on the top of my hair, it's very shiny and has good movement. Doesn't look as if it's someone with naturally curls trying to straighten their hair.

The bottom part of my hair isn't as shiny and, although it is straight after using a straight iron, I really think I need to apply it again to the bottom part to look more like the top part. It doesn't look bad but if I can get the same results of the top, I will be more than ecstatic.

  87. Now, is it worth it? Well, for the price, I think so. It takes time. It's not exactly the most fun thing to do, but once you're done, and you do it right, I think you will be pleased with the results.

I have to do the bottom part again and I'm going to have to wait until the weekend. You shouldn't do this if you have busy days ahead. Your hair isn't going to look great when you have the product in. Well, if you know what you're doing, maybe it will, but my hair looked oily and there was some flaky residue on the top part of my hair because I over saturated. Also, keep pain reliever on hand if you get a headache. I know, headaches aren't good, nor are watery eyes, but I get these when I get I have gotten a straightening treatment at a salon in the past, so it's not worrying me as long as they go away when I rinse out and it did.

I would probably use this product at least once a month, although I'm going to use the rest of it on the bottom of my hair this weekend.

I am a brunette and I do color my hair but the product had no affect on my hair color.

I cannot justify spending $300 plus tip at a salon to get the Brazilian blowout, so if it costs me $15 or less once a month to get shiny, bouncy hair, cuts down my hair styling time in half and takes about two days to get results, that's what I'm going to do for now until technology comes up with something better.

  88. I previously bought the kind you have pictured, but recently there has been an identical item without the "sulfate and sodium free" tag. It isn't written anywhere on the bottle either. I have no idea if it even has the same benefits as the original item i bought. If the new version with the same name and bottle is not sulfate and sodium free this is really misleading. If you know anything I would really appreciate it!

  89. I just tried this product tonight for the first time, after debating the decision for weeks. My hair is slightly greasy, but stick straight. This is incredible - I am white/black/cherokee, so my hair is super thick, super coarse and I have extremely kinky curls. I am concerned with sleeping tonight.... getting the product on my pillow/face and having it curl up. The smell is really getting to me, too. It didn't seem that bad until it had been in a few hours. My throat feels weird and I am getting a bit of a headache. Hopefully this will pass. I look forward to seeing what my hair does in the next few weeks!

  90. Hey. I have used the anti-breakage keratin spray for about 2 months now and stopped two days ago! I started using it because I have heard so much good about keratin and I figured I needed some good nutrition for my hair that is highlighted and sometimes gets a little dry. I kept using it almost every day with some breaks every now and then, sometimes for a day and sometimes for a week or so. But, my hair never got better using it. In fact it got worse. So bad that my hair has drastically thinned out and their was almost no hair at the ends anymore. In order to "fix" this issue I had to cut off 3-4 inches!! I will never use this again... Even though it smells wonderful. I am going back to my organic stuff! Hope it works for all of you guys. Best.
