Did you get your free Cover Girl Natureluxe Foundation sample yet?

I want to thank my pal Maureen from QponCutie for reminding me about this one--I saw it in the AllYou daily email and then completely forgot to post about it, so thanks Maureen!

Luckily it's still active (as of the time I'm writing this post), but I'd HURRY if you want it because as we all know, free samples don't last forever and I'm sure they'll run out of this one:

I actually received some of the new CG products for review, so I'm testing this very foundation as we speak. I haven't been wearing it for 5-7 days yet (my normal testing period) so I can't give you a full review, but so far I can tell you that the texture is incredibly light and silky and it glides on my skin like a dream. Again, this is not a formal review, but I just wanted to give you my initial thoughts in case you're on the fence about getting a sample.

Have you signed up for your free sample of Natureluxe foundation yet? Did you already purchase the full-size product in-store? Does this new line appeal to you? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  1. I'm LOVING the new CG Natureluxe foundation even though I'm normally a medium to full coverage kinda girl! Wow- you said it- like silk! Love the shade selection, the feel, look, ease of application, everything! It's decent coverage too :) I may never go back to any of my others...

  3. AffordableBeauty: OMG, I completely agree (so far)! I didn't want to jump the gun and comment on the coverage, but so far I am INCREDIBLY surprised that it seems to do a good job at covering my flaws and evening out my skin, despite the fact that it's not a heavy, full coverage formula. My skin just seems to look so natural, like I'm almost wearing a tinted moisturizer, yet my redness and old acne scars aren't visible. I feel like I'm dreaming! You know I'm a powder foundation gal, but so far this seems to be one of the best liquid foundations I've used in quite some time. So glad it's working for you too! :D

  5. Yes definitely G! So light (like a TM) but actually covers my dark circles and redness?? I am so in love! Glad it's working well for you! Oh and for anyone who wants to buy it: it's about $9 from Walmart but about $13 from all the major drugstores!

  7. I already requested my sample, but had a quick question for anyone that has used it or may know..I always have a hard time figuring out the best drugstore color for me..so does anyone know which CG Natureluxe shade would be best for a MAC NC45 skintone?

  11. How do you sign up for one? Is there supposed to be a clickable link to sign up, because it's not there anymore if there was. No biggie, I picked up three or four new foundations to try during the CVS sale. That's probably enough! lol

I'm wearing your HG powder foundation today, G. I can't say much about it because I'm unhappy with my undereye circles and think it's the Dream Mousse concealer though. (First day for using both) I'll try the foundation again tomorrow with a different concealer or no concealer at all and see if I get better results.

Did the Dream Mousse concealer seem heavy and almost lumpy to you (any of you who have tried it)? I might have just used too much, it also doesn't really match my skin tone well, it's too yellow...but my skin tone is yellow. It's even yellower!

  12. I found my own answer. I went looking for your review of Dream Mousse concealer and you said this, G: "I've tried building several times with this concealer and every time I do, I end up with a cakey mess and the product ends up settling into my fine lines within the hour."

This is my problem, I have like 3 layers because 1-2 wasn't enough. Now it's kind of lumpy and yeah, I'm looking very wrinkly too since it's gotten into my fine lines and totally magnified them.

  13. I'm also curious about what color I'll be getting. I don't remember it specifying which color I could get. o_o

  14. I'm really anxious to get my sample. I almost bought it the other day, but I'm glad I waited & that you posted this. :D

I also find the Dream Mousse Concealer to be cakey, but I don't use much and I blend like crazy, so it doesn't really bother me. It won't cover up the veins right under my dark circles though. :(
