The Wednesday Question

It's been a while since I asked a hair-related question so here we go:

What's your current favorite shampoo?

Of course it doesn't need to be a drugstore brand, but you know I love hearing about drugstore brands so all the better if it is! :D

Right now I'm using an old favorite, Aveeno Nourish+ Moisturize Shampoo (which I reviewed last year). I just love how silky the formula is, and how it takes no effort at all to get a rich, thick lather. I also love that my hair never feels like straw after I use this shampoo, yet it doesn't feel greasy or weighed down either. It's perfection for my hair!  So how about you? What shampoo are you in love with these days?

  1. My favorite shampoo is Kerastase Oleo-curl. I scored some at Target on clearance, and I've never found its equal. I will never pay full price for this, but if I can get more at a good discount, I definitely will! My other favorite is Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Shampoo. It's the only one that I've ever gone through a whole liter of and still liked it at the end!

  2. i am still loving (and repurchasing) the combination of Suave Naturals Rosemary Mint shampoo and their Shea Butter conditioner. it's so cheap, my hair loves it, and i love the scents!

  3. The shampoo that I have been using consistently for months now is LUSH's Dr. Peppermint shampoo bar :) It's one of their "retro" products and can only be purchased online which is super annoying.

  4. I'm loving Joico K-Pak to fix my damaged hair. It's been so much softer and I love it. As far as drugstore I like the Pantene Nature Fusion (I think?) and Infusium 23.

  5. currently my favorite is Aveeno Nourish and shine shampoo and the Nourish and Revitalize conditioner.

My water is extremely hard, so higher end lines do not work well for me :(

  8. I use the Generic Tea Tree Oil shampoo from Sally's that is supposed to be a dupe for Paul Mitchell's. I'm not sure if I notice much of a difference between the two and the generic one is a lot cheaper!

  9. I'm in love with Organix Shampoos and Conditioners. They leave my hair full of moisture and bounce. Never wandering from that brand again. :)

  10. I tried so many different shampoos and conditioners in my life time and I kept hearing from my hair dresser and my moms hair dresser that I should just use baby shampoo..So i went out and bought Johnsons and Johnsons baby shampoo and I love this stuff! So cheap, easy to find and my hair is so much softer and stays cleaner longer since I started using this shampoo! I used to HAVE to wash at least every other day,now I go every 3 days (or 4 when Im lazy). I get really oily scalp(and really dry in some spots) and then it itches, so this shampoo in my opinion is by far the best for me! Love it!

  11. I have a real soft spot for Paul Mitchell's tea tree shampoo. It just feels ULTRA clean. Unfortunately, I color my hair, so I can't use it all the time, but it's a lovely treat when I do. :-)

  12. Sadly, since my cross over to sulfate free shampoos I've yet to find any combo that really has me excited. I made the switch because of coloring my hair. But I really don't know how well any of them are really working.
Right now, the Trader's Joe Balancing shampoo is the one I usually go back to.

  13. I like Back to Basics: Coconut, Mango! It smells amazing. It's a little pricey but I found mine at big lots for $3.50 a bottle, so it was definitely worth it :)

I also enjoy paul mitchell tea tree. Thanks to your lovely readers, I'm going to try the generic one at sallys next time i run out!

  14. i recently chopped off 10" of hair into a pixie cut, and so i don't have to use much product to get the job done! right now i'm using alberto vo5 strawberries and cream (yeah, the 99¢ stuff!) because it smells SO good.

  15. I'm not picky and haven't found one that's a disaster for my hair anyway. I'm using Pantene Beautiful Lengths, smells good, nice lather, conditioner keeps my hair manageable. I also like Garnier Fructis the one for Shine, it really does give my hair shine. When I'm being cheap, White Rain coconut shampoo and conditioner do the trick and smells great. I really should switch to shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair though.

  16. Oh yeah, I also use Infusium, especially for mornings I haven't washed my hair, makes it easy to brush through the tangles and keeps frizz to a minimum.

  18. My favorite is the Pantene Solutions Dry-to-moisturized shampoo for medium-thick hair. Before I started using it, I just kind of gave up on finding a shampoo that would actually take care of my hair and not leave it feeling dry. So when I got a sample of the Pantene shampoo in the mail, I knew I had to go and buy the full-sized shampoo AND conditioner. It has saved my hair!

  19. My favorite, at the moment, is Queen Helene Mint Julep Shampoo from Sally's. I love it! I use it with just cheap V05 or Sauve conditioner and my hair is managable and shiney! It looks nice just by using the hair dryer whereas before, it didn't look so nice unless I used my straigtening iron.

  20. My current favorite is the Cherry Blossom Ginseng shampoo (and conditioner) from Organix. I have long meduim-thick hair with oily roots and a sensitive scalp. It works great for me! It really cleans without stripping and gives my hair lots of softness and body.

  21. I am in love with Suave Rosemary and Mint shampoo and conditioner. I don't have many issues with my hair, kind of damaged but not too bad, but this makes it really soft and I LOVE the smell.

  22. I was using One from Sally's Supply. Then YOU turned me on to some clearance Pantene and I have 2 life-times worth! And that is because I am in love with it! It's working better for me than any high-end products ever have.

In Nov I had a hair disaster; long story. And I'm finally getting to see the beautiful, soft hair I KNOW I have.

  23. I'm another for Suave Naturals Rosemary and Mint. Inexpensive, smells SO good, and is refreshing and just cleans my hair so well without stripping it down so much that it gets all dry and frizzy-- though if used with the matching conditioner, my hair just gets so soft.

  24. I really like the Herbal Essence Drama Clean shampoo, it cleans my hair very well (I have an oily scalp) and leaves it shiny the next day. Love :)
    And it's cheap

  25. I'm digging suave professionals sleek shampoo. My hair is what I like to call "wurly" (portmanteau of wavy and curly :P) and this makes my hair very manageable.

  26. Coming to this late, but my favorite shampoo of the moment is SAMY, which sadly seems to be disappearing from drugstore shelves.
